My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I'm looking for someone to grab a drink with. If we hit it off then great, if we don't that's ok too. If we do hit it off it's probably because your smart, care about the world, are funny and fun. If you could play the guitar (swoon) that doesn't hurt. If you're all those things and we have no chemistry then maybe we will be friends?

I love to travel and I like to volunteer. I like to see live music. I am a dog person more than a cat person.

Also Juliana is the name I give people at bars when I do not want them to know my real name. That tradition started when a guy forgot my name and started calling me Juliana. Since it sounds NOTHING like my real name I thought it was hilarious and so I just went with it. Does that make me a terrible person?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Wow, anything less than "curing cancer" or "feeding the hungry" seems to fall short here.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My job (I'm a lawyer), Rubik's cubes, writing bad poetry, listening, picking friends, gaining the admiration of children, and cooking beef tenderloin.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably now: my glasses.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love books, movies, music AND food.

Books - I like non-fiction, anything with a really good story. I read some sci fi and horror (Stephen King's Gunslinger series is some of my favorite storytelling) and anything funny (David Sedaris is awesome, for one.) I loved the Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, and the Hitchhiker's Guide.

I love going to the movies but I am NOT a fan of chick flicks. I like action and sci fi. Alternatively, anything that makes you think. Tommy Boy might be my favorite movie.

I constantly listen to music and I'm game for any good suggestions. I'm currently into Lana del Rey, The xx, Rachel Yamagata, Spoon, Gram Rabbit, and Vampire Weekend but I also love Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Etta James. I will listen to pretty much anything except that I'm not a huge fan of country or classical.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Peanut butter
Funny people
Adequate sleep
The internet
My passport
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How some people in this world still don't have access to fresh water in 2015.

Hey, it's 2015, why don't we have hover skateboards yet?

Will lawyers and their crazy clients kill the self driving car?

What my dogs have given me as a name.

What restaurant to try next or where to travel next.

Everything. I am an overthinker.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Eating steak with my family. We try to do dinner together every Friday.

Or maybe a concert, happy hour, or movie night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
...not something I would like the entire world wide web to know. I'm pretty open about stuff when speaking to a real person in the real world. For real.
