I enjoy appreciating art, architecture, bird watching, canoeing, hiking, exploring, garage sales, gardening, mixology, swing dancing, public radio, old scratchy records, photography and food festivals.
Vice or virtue; I have a bad case of wanderlust. I’ve been through Asia, Africa, Europe, Cuba, and much of our own beautiful country. With my German-Cuban background, I find it easy to relate to all types of peoples. I also don't usually need a destination. In short, I'm that girl crawling all over the Incan ruins for hours, snapping photos at odd angles and and pouring over the architecture.
Along with travel comes a love for delicious and unusual foods. I will go to the end of the world for the perfect mango, cheese, schnitzel, pizza, jellyfish, or whatever. Chicago keeps me pretty busy with its awesome restaurants and fusion of cuisines, and at the end of the day I love to play in the kitchen.
When people get to know me I bare my nerdy roots. I get a kick out of German board games and I’m an ex-gamer who loves all things technology. And proud of it!
I’m also very committed to my work. I’m a competitive, career-driven person and I love what I do!
As for the fine print...
I've just moved into town from New Orleans.
If you have a dog I can wrestle, buku points!
I'm always in the mood for a good foreign film. Black and white silent film from abroad? Bring it on.
Lounging at the Green Mill for some lively jazz is a slice of heaven.
Also, professional sports is not my thing, but I love being active.
