My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Engaging self-made entrepreneur and mom, I am making the time and the space for a loving partnership. I have even emptied out space in my closets...:)

On busy work days, you can find me mornings at the gym (weekends on Mt. Tam), mid-day in meetings, and evenings with my daughter or enjoying dance, theater, movies and great food with friends. Other days, I volunteer on a couple non-profit boards and like to enjoy the beauty of where we live.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Most important is raising my daughter and being a positive influence. My work involves helping individuals who want to make a difference, have an impact. Other activities include teaching Tai Chi and exploring the globe, one country at a time...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Solving problems and asking great questions. I am working on becoming a great listener. Drop me anywhere, any time and I can figure out what to do….be it in the Grand Canyon, Everest Base camp, Beijing or NYC. I am really good at learning and exploring new ideas and places, and then applying that learning into my life.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes, brilliant blue and somewhat off center, and my smile. I love hearing other people's stories - I am focused and engaged and people feel that when they are with me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

River of Doubt by Candice Millard, Enriques Journey by Sonia Nazario, Fallen by David Maine, Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, any book by Daniel Pink…most recently Drive, Books by Margaret Atwood and Barbara Kingsolver. Films that are provocative, filmmaker John Sayles, or choreography that engages. That said, it does not get much better than The Lion King on Broadway....
I love to cook and eat fresh well prepared food, and I have a weakness for 'california cuisine', but there is nothing like a good home-cooked sichuan style meal.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Of course, I can do without everything… what I really appreciate in my life is:
Fresh air at high altitude…nothing like hiking in the mountains or skiing
Mobility…I love being able to get where I want when I want
Intelligence-…I love to figure stuff out
Relationships…being connected to people I love
Beauty…of course, it is in the eyes of the beholder, but nature is pretty amazing to me
Love….there is nothing more important than deep connection
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to balance my desire to support my daughter with helping her gain her independence. I also think about how to balance being a Mom with having a relationship, while also pursuing my passions.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Making dinner for friends and relaxing at my home or theirs; catching a movie; carpooling my daughter to her activities.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I read the ads of the Sunday Chronicle before I read page 1 of the NY Times....
