My self-summary
Oh, well... Where to begin? First time trying online dating, but I can tell you I was born at the end of the world some time ago (well, not really, but we Chileans like to think of ourselves in that way). I've been in London since 2010, although I must admit I had a lapsus of a year in California, where I survived in Los Angeles without using a car at all (and I'm quite proud of it). Why I am here? I would like to meet people to have a glass of wine or a pint and have good conversations. And if that can lead to a visit to the cinema, theatre, or an exploration of London, much better.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm doing a PhD in social sciences (paraphrasing Colin Firth, I take it seriously but never forget how ridiculous it is).
I also love learning new words in English (current favourite one: ludicrous).
I love doing improv and theatre (and I can proudly say I once played Puck in A Midsummer's Night Dream).
I’m really good at
Being left handed. Listening. And interviewing Paul McCartney (well, I did it only once but I was quite good).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Puf, I definitely hate that question. I always feel there is more to discover. Also, there are movies that I used to love when I was 5, but now I find them ludicrous. But let's give it a try, which of course does not intend to cover everything:

-Everything by Mr. David Bowie
-Kraftwerk (and I saw them at Tate)
-Sigur Ros (saw them at Brixton Academy).
-Ute Lemper and Emiliana Torrini.
-Theatre (which in London is amazing). I loved the Frankenstein directed by Danny Boyle. The Audience with Helen Mirren was really good. And Kevin Spacey in Richard III was mesmerizing. In spite of the reviews, I liked Much Ado About Nothing with James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave and I recently saw Henry V with Jude Law.
-Movies: I enjoy the BFI but I don't care the odd Hollywood flick (preferably at the Rich Mix). I'm still not tired of seeing and re-seeing A Clockwork Orange. I love Twelve Monkeys. More recently, I liked a lot Drive, Before Midnight and Blue Jasmine.
-Any movie with Tilda Swinton.
-Good wine (and pisco!)
-The Savage Detectives, by Roberto Bolaño.
-I loved 'Saturday', by Ian McEwan. And the first two books by Paul Auster. I used to like Hanif Kureishi. Maus, by Art Spiegelman will always have a place in my heart. But overall, everything that has the signature of Ryszard Kapuscinski.
The six things I could never do without
The music in my laptop.
My friends and family.
Feeling that I am permanently learning.
Chilean wine.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Cheap studios where to practice yoga in London (where are they?).
That the world is a beautiful place waiting to be discovered.
What does 'dating' actually mean??
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
After three years in English speaking countries, I still have problems to distinguish pull and push. And I don't drink coffee.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–38
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You wanna enjoy a glass of wine and a conversation.
You are not afraid of being the one who writes first (initiative is sexy!).
...or if your favourite Beatle is George.
Please don't contact me if you like snails or celery. ;)
