My Self-Summary

So this is the bit where I sell myself - so to speak. Hmm. I don't know, its so difficult to get this bit just right - especially when you consider some of the questions I'll be answering after this for my profile. Lets be honest, its not going to be easy. I'm going to end up looking like slutty the wonder tramp if I let my sense of humour get the better of me. "I spend a lot of time thinking about..." thats a question that is just begging for a comedy response. Its kind of like having to sit through an interview when I'm not sure I actually want the job!

Anyway, back to my self summary. I'm a pretty happy individual. I have a good life, great friends and for the most part I'm content. I just think that having someone to share all that with would be kind of nice. I'm not sure what I'm looking for, but I think I'll know it when I find it.

What I’m doing with my life

Not a huge amount at the moment. Working too hard and trying to get my house sorted out. God, thats so boring!

I’m really good at

Well, I asked my friend for advice on this question, a second opinion if you like. She vetoed my original response as, and I quote, "Very. Wrong" and insisted my greatest gift is the ability to make people laugh. What would she know anyway :)

The first things people usually notice about me

Probably my filthy laugh. And I do tend to laugh at things a lot.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books, ooh, hard to say as I read so much. Lord of the Rings I love, Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, anything to do with mythology or ancient history. Anita Blake stuff is always good for a laugh. Sci fi, horror and fantasy. Though I'm not fussy, I'll read anything. Movies. This is ever changing, I enjoyed Little Miss Sunshine but my tastes generally run to the slightly eclectic and a bit odd! Tank Girl always makes me smile, Hedwig and the Angry Inch is bonkers. I'm still looking for a horror film thats actually scary. I'm quite fond of chick flicks too though.

Music - again varied. Grew up on hard rock and motown. Led Zeppelin always makes me stop and listen. Maceo Parker kicks ass :) I'll give anything a try. Though hardcore dance music makes me want to gouge my
eardrums out.

Food. I'm a real foodie and never happier than when I'm in the kitchen cooking for friends. Greek, Italian, Spanish, French, Welsh, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese - need I go on. Part of the fun of travelling for me is trying out the local food.

The six things I could never do without

Books, music, my friends, a stiff drink, good food and witty debate. Not necessarily in that order.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

World peace and kittens.

On a typical Friday night I am

in good company and relieved that I have the whole week end ahead of me. Endless opportunities.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

If I told you I would be forced to kill you. Really.

You should message me if

You have a good sense of humour. You're not an axe wielding psychopath. And if you smell nice its a bonus.
