Travelled a lot, most recently relocated from Brooklyn, NYC to Olympia for work and bought my first house which i am having a lot of fun puttering around in.

I am very sensitive and empathetic. which i think in some ways adds to my sense of humor. i've always been silly and enjoy teasing people i care about. i have a quick wit, enjoy bad puns and general punnery, the cheesier the joke the better and among close friends i enjoy dark humor.

i enjoy being a positive person and surrounding myself with healthy, lovely, positive folks that are sincere and passionate.

Creativity, silliness and humor are all equally important to me and I would regret a day if it went by without a lot of each.

I've lived in big cities (SF & NYC), rural countryside, other countries (nepal and mexico) and most parts of the usa. but oly feels like home and is just the right size.

more specifically, I'm a union organizer and help empower working folks stand up for themselves and have a voice on the job so they're treated with dignity and respect.

i originally wanted to be an ethnomusicologist, but i've found that i'm much better suited at being a professional trouble maker.

Being an uncle is serious business for me. i must make sure they grow up as silly and weirdly themselves as possible. I may just be the funnest uncle in the history of fun uncles.

I'm focusing my free time on building a solid community of folks that i care about. I want my new house to be the most welcoming, comfy, home-y place where everyone that enters feels great. i want my house to be filled with lots of people, cooking, laughing, eating, playing games, singing songs, dancing and in general having a good time.

i listen to a lot of podcasts these days. some of my favorites being, the todd glass show, the best show on wfmu, professor blastoff, the long shot podcast, improv4humans, walking the room, the Ronna & beverly podcast and Superego!

TV shows: The Wire.

Movies: documentaries (just watched a great one about origami called "between the folds" & the woody allen documentary by robert weide), most wes anderson films, woody allen, almodovar, any sad movie. don't watch horror movies, i get scared.

Music: i love music. it's a big part of my life. i only think of music in 3 ways: music i love, music i don't care about, and music i don't like. as long as music is meaningful to you and can move you in some way, you're probably a decent person.
