My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just passing moment to moment, like our ancestor the monkey passes branch to branch as he makes his way on the high road through the forest at night.

I seem to have missed a branch or two, but I persevere.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Depression-and-cancer-killer extraordinaire. Got my bachelors at Pitt in Neuroscience. Now working and going to school in NYC trying to cure depression and cancer - "trying" being the operative word.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
1. Not taking life seriously.
2. Procrastinating - I really do myself a mischief sometimes (and by sometimes I mean always).
3. Being stand off-ish unintentionally - I seem to suffer from Bitchy Resting Face (google it). But I'm actually really, really nice - as long as you're not creepy ( and even then I like a good creeper every once in a while.)
4. Hating ego; my own and everyone else's.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have no idea. Something good I can only hope and/or imagine. But most likely my ginormous nose.

Books/Authors I like: Our Lady of the Flowers, Invisible Monsters, Joy Luck Club, Mysteries of Pittsburgh, The Fountainhead, Rules of Attraction, Perks of Being a Wallflower, White Oleander, Naked Lunch, The Demon Haunted World. Anything by Richard Dawkins/Carl Sagan/Alan Harrington. Might throw in some Oscar Wilde in there if I'm feeling ambitious, inspired, or can't sleep.

Films: Party Monster, Donnie Darko, American Beauty, The Fountain, Indochine, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Amazing Truth About Queen Racquela, Cruel Intentions, My Best Friend's Wedding, A Single Man, Love Actually, Paris Je T'Aime, Les Amours Imaginaires, J'ai Tué Ma Mere, Do Começo ao Fim.

Music: Midnight Magic, Hercules and Love Affair, Perfume Genius, Jessica Six, The Knife/Fever Ray, The Sounds, Gossip, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Noisettes, Cut Copy, Antony And The Johnsons, Dangerous Muse, Blondie, Robyn, QUEEN, Erasure, Madonna, Gaga, Adele, Dalida, Cat Power, STRFKR, Marina, Goldfrapp, Pet Shop Boys, Hunx and His Punx, Semi Precious Weapons, Scissor Sisters, my gurl Whitney (of course and may she rest in peace), LCD Soundsystem and other indie-queer-disco-punk-electronic-pop sounds.

Food: Bibimbap, caldereta, pho, adobo, kare-kare, tikka masala, yakitori, all seafood, fruits, and bacon.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music
Ambition
Glamour
Art/Inspiration
Daily shower
and family/friends of course, and in no particular order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
1. My abusive relationship with New York City - I fell down the stairs, I ran into a door, he's just really stressed out. I love him, he'll come around, it'll get better between us.
2. Taking chances.
3. Trying to get what's in my head out, by any means necessary.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either:
1. Being stared at in the subway by old women - who at the sight of me begin freestyling the rosary at 118 beats per minute - on my way to tromp in Hell's Kitchen.

2. Shamelessly flirting with/terrorizing bartenders in the East Village.

3. Getting crunk in Brooklyn.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I always tell that blue is my favorite color, but it's actually grey.
