My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Quick update: I need to update a few things and I'll have to revise all the Questions when I find the time. I moved to Las Vegas for a new job so I'm looking for new friends. And just moved into my new place just 10 minutes from the strip.

I consider myself a dynamic person that continues to change hopefully for the better so my profile is never really current. That being said, at the moment I'm pretty happy doing indoor activities or watching movies inside and going out once in a while. I think success is not measured by money or possessions, success is the way you leave the world a bit better. Happiness on the other hand is moment by moment and I'm pretty happy but it would nice to feel less busy. Seeing people happy makes me happy and I like to make people laugh once in a while and having a good laugh myself. I haven't had much chance to meet many new people in my busy life (I've always had more than one thing going on at once). I'm hoping to at least make some new friends and would love to meet someone who has a big heart and soul and some smarts. It's what's inside that counts. It seems most girls are looking to be entertained more than anything else nowadays. Although I can't promise that I'll be an entertainer I would try to have you enjoy activities with me and I do like to spoil someone who's special to me. Two random facts about my family is that my parents have been married over 40 years and my younger sister is more than a decade apart from me. I'm not sure about online dating but if I run into someone extraordinary that would be just perfect. :)
OK, Cupid, I'm counting on you. If this doesn't work I just might have to try going with plan B - a Russian mail order bride...haha?

I'm a low key, grounded and worldly kind of guy, with a vivid imagination and an empathetic nature who's done a lot of traveling in the past. I'm conservative in some respects and liberal in others and I care intensely about social and economic issues, equality over liberty, and liberty over justice. I'm a thinker and a ponderer, a philosopher; my mind can't stop. And I tend to dream big. But I like to solve small problems too.
My life so far has earned me a lot of success, through a decade of hard sacrifice. It has been a long struggle and I'm sure the struggle will never end but that's what makes it worthwhile in the end. I'm open-minded, understated, easy-going, chill, soft-spoken and laidback but ambitious. I think it more important to lead a life morally rather than religiously and sometimes I'm too nice that it comes back to bite me. I'm not perfect though and do have my faults. I try to make up for them in other ways. ;)
I strive to go beyond the ordinary and seek the same.

I like to have all kinds of fun, go on trips and adventures, I love movies, nights in with friends, nights out and about, traveling, long scenic drives, great food, good talks, long walks, stargazing and people watching, working with my hands and just having good times. But nothing beats a good conversation on a quiet night.
I work on my fitness several times a week but still make time for my friends. Energy drinks and tea are my beer and wine. I can be quirky and awkward but I'm a good listener and I love learning.

I've traveled the world but I wouldn't mind doing it again. I've lived all over the country in several states and been to several countries on 3 different continents and a few islands. San Diego still feels like my real home with it's perfect year round weather. It could be that I lived there for over 20 years also. But now I'm back in California and looking for a new place to settle into.
I've raised a pet turtle, fishees, puppy, a couple cockatiels, and a talking parrot, and there's a story with each of them. I wish I could start a rescue center, but not just for animals. I love animals and hate one word answers.

I'm on a spiritual journey. I hope to find someone to enjoy the ride with me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
What I've done with my life:

- Earned a bunch of national medals that are now collecting dust
- Started and ran my own small business
- Acquired a top secret security clearance. (Sorry can't tell you about it. I can tell you but then I'd have to kill you)

- Changed someone's life profoundly
- Been proposed to 3 times (not all seriously)
- Bought three houses by age 27
- Traveled to 9 foreign countries on 3 continents

My first degree is in Liberal Arts, my second degree is in Nuclear Engineering and I would have gotten a MBA or PhD earlier but I've been kinda busy. I'm currently an enterpriser and investor that's looking for a new puppy and being especially picky about it. My main career is in the Power industry but I've also worked in the Manufacturing sector and also in Business and investments. I'm hoping my investments will hit it big soon and I can retire early and just work on my hobbies and travel everywhere with someone special and experience as much of the world as possible in all its interesting diversity. I probably sound like one of those business people but I'm not, I swear. I'm also far from being an adrenaline junkie.

Trying to learn some new things, and getting some new skills, like playing the guitar, better fishing, surfing, swimming, golfing, bowling, maybe poker, billiards and better cooking. And the martial arts!

Well that was a little bit about me. There's much more to me than on this profile. Feel free to ask any questions. I don't bite.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Making a list.

Being random.

Being a good listener.

Figuring things out and solving problems.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm approachable. A good guy. And I've been told I have a booty.

You tell me...I rarely take pictures. I've been told I look better in person than in pictures. I take that as a good thing. I look 10 years younger than I am and I've actually had a bouncer ask me for a second ID.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'll read anything, watch anything, listen to anything (unless it's really that bad).
Anything and everything. Life's too short.

A few movies that come to mind since I'm a movie addict are The Notebook, Pacific Rim, Up, The Game, Fight Club, Forrest Gump, The Goonies, Resident Evil Apocalypse, Big Trouble in Little China, Star Trek, Dumb and Dumber, Transformers, Take Me Home Tonight, Top Gun, Love Potion Number 9, Sixteen Candles, Soul Surfer, My Sassy Girl and Hachiko A Dog's Story. I'm a hopeless romantic at heart. Chances are I see movies differently than other people. A few fav shows are The Walking Dead, How I Met Your Mother, Breaking Bad and The Office.

I like science, sci-fi and video games and all genres of music, especially 80's (so much emotion in them), punk rock indie alternative and EDM (Electronic Dance Music) electro house. I love electronic / house music and Indie. It moves me. Music is a beautiful thing because it touches me riiight there.

I love Italian, Asian, and Mexican food as well as steak and lobster. Crispy foods are my all-time favorite.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Six Things I've Never Done but Would Like to:

1) Fly like an eagle

2) Swim with whales

3) Catch a fish bigger than myself

4) Get a double blackbelt

5) Acquire a superduperpower. It is important to note that this is vastly greater than just a superpower. Superpower = flight. Superduperpower = flight, inside YOUR subconscious mind, with free pizza and a drink.

6) A future with goals, dreams, freedom, happiness and friends. I cheated I know.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The possibilities of tomorrow. And what meaning the unique lines of my palm have, if any.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends or just relaxing with a good movie. Sometimes working.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm super bad with names.

Funny how things work out but my second best relationship was with someone very similar to myself and my very best and longest relationship was with someone who was just about complete opposite of me in every way possible. Which is why I'm open minded to someone who may not seem like a match at first.

Despite everything you've read on here you don't know anything about me, except that I hate having a birthday just a few days after New Years Day because I just told you this.
