I am passionate, romantic, and genuine.
My Self-Summary
After a very successful career in technology I said so long to the
rat race, and started a new life following my new found passion for
Chinese Medicine. I've been studying Acupuncture for the past year
and recently decided to switch schools and move to Boulder. Who
knew sticking needles into people would be so fun! Bwahahaha, j/k
;)
I grew up with Gandalf the Wizard being my role model, and always
dreamed of magic being possible. I found that magic in Eastern
philosophy and learning how to live harmoniously with the the flow
of nature. Over time this made me less neurotic, happier, and more
fulfilled.
I love Japanese Pop music and Anime, and Startreck though I've not
owned a TV for a couple of years and watch occasional movies on my
laptop. Don't worry, doctors say its normal, its not contagious,
and I'll be ok ;) I also love T'ai Chi, meditation and any
self-development associated with confronting the mind as the final
frontier to our evolution in being more alive, more compassionate
and more authentic. I've a whole lifetime to learn, and a whole
lifetime to share.
Whether its discussing the latest political issues, evaluating the
merits of stucco versus other paint finishes, people watching,
pontificating on the nature of reality, giving personalities to
cats and shapes to clouds, going to a high-society concert, working
in the yard, or biking and hiking - it all sounds fun and part of
what I love to do.
I'm really excited about all the stuff I'm up to, would love to
expand my horizons, learn more and to share that journey with new
friends and a partner who are following their own passions and
pushing themselves further upward and onward. Maybe we can help
eachother live a well lived life.
What I’m doing with my life
I've been a software developer for over a decade, and though the
riddle solving has brought me much satisfaction, I moved into
managing a development team. Eventually I realized that working for
the man was really no longer satisfying. I decided to quit my prior
career and go study Chinese Medicine and acupuncture.
I’m really good at
Cooking, photography, singing, gardening, cleaning.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes, my grin, my laugh, my openness.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Favorite books: Lord of the Rings, Wicked, Roads to Sata
Favorite movies: Silence of the Lambs, Eddie Izzard Dressed to
Kill, Kill Bill 1&2, Holy Grail
Fave Anime: Trigun, Ghost in the Shell, GTO, Witch Hunter Robin,
Cowboy Bebop
The six things I could never do without
Colors of the evening light, crackling of fire, running water,
Autumn, driving my car, the joy of spending time with other people.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Questions that have no answers. Answers that have no Questions.
On a typical Friday night I am
Planning random acts of adventure and weekend roadtrips! Lighting
candles, playing some music, cooking, and spending time with
friends. Hang out at a coffee shop, going out to dinner, or curling
up over a movie at home, avoiding crowds and continued work on home
projects.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'll update this when I think of something :-D
You should message me if
You're not completely put off by my long-windedness ;)
