I am spontaneous, inquisitive, and creative.

My Self-Summary

To be honest, I'm not sure what I expect out of the whole "online dating" thing. This is the first time I've actually tried it, but if I come out of it with some new friends I'll be happy... you can never have too many.

I consider myself to be an eclectic person. I have many different hobbies, some I'm more serious with than others, and some I enjoy once for just a day.
I love doing anything that feels like an adventure, even if it's as mundane as going to a new restaurant or as extreme as selling everything I own, moving into a camper and traveling the country with my best friend killedbyblueyes (I did that last spring and summer, you should ask me about it). It's much less glamorous as it sounds (think: not getting to shower whenever you want, and sleeping in a car when you drop off the camper because it wrecks gas mileage).
I have a thirst for knowledge, but I enjoy getting it most through discussion and experience. I'm one of those people that actually enjoys school, but my problem in the past is that I enjoyed sleep a little more sometimes.
I like sports and can get into any of them if I'm watching it live, the only sport I can get into on TV is Hockey, I'm obviously a Red Wings fan. I've played sports in my day, mainly softball and am thinking about getting back into it next year.
I also enjoy theatre, drawing, writing, painting, psychology, philosophy and above all reading.

I'm not trying to be negative, just honest... I have deal breakers and those are:
People that use heavy drugs (never got into it, and I stay away from it).
Homophobes (I have a lot of gay friends, and they mean a lot to me).
Overly dependant or obsessive people. I mean it in the sense that I have a social life, and you should too. I don't want to be around the same person 24/7 no matter how much I enjoy their company.
People who try and talk dirty to me online, or ask me questions that go directly to sex. I'll provide relevant information to a conversation, but if it starts getting sleazy I'll stop talking. I never understood the whole concept, and probably never will. (I know it seems strange to have a profile on an online dating site with this mindset, but I'm sure that it's shared)
I'm sure there's more, but those are the basics.

My traits that could be deal breakers:
I smoke cigarettes, I want to quit, but there's no promises. I'm considerate though: I wont smoke around you if you don't like it, but I will step away to have one.
I'm not skinny. I'm either 'average' or 'thick' depending on who you ask.
I'm curious to a fault; I ask a lot of questions.
I have a lot of guy friends. They're just friends and I wont stop hanging out with them.
I don't like clubbing.

What I’m doing with my life

I have a job in the food and beverage industry. I am about to start school for massage therapy, and hope to proceed with holistic healing from there. I have many ideas of things I want to do with my life, I suffer from a case of many passions. But I'm using this one to start with.

I’m really good at

When I am in the company of those I like, I enjoy talking and listening and am excellent at making conversation. I'm very good at keeping an open mind which makes me well-liked in conversation as I rarely shoot any idea down. (Debating with me is more like a lengthy discussion). I live in the moment, meaning I will do strange and exciting things on a whim. I love traveling, I've driven around the country a few times and I'm proud to say that I am an exceptional driver.
I know it sounds strange but I'm pretty good at freestyling (rapping), a random talent I found with my best friend.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm not sure to be honest. I know that I have a very warm personality; it's not hard for people to open up to me or feel comfortable around me. I would say that is my best quality. I'm a firm believer that beauty is different for everybody, so I'm sure people have noticed my physical aspects which I'm pretty happy with.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

When it comes to music, I don't really have a genre that I don't like (I would have to say that hardcore is probably my least favorite; however, I have found a few songs that I enjoy).
I love reading, and it's my favorite form of entertainment. I like many different books, fiction and nonfiction. I do like Harry Potter, and it probably helped that the series came out when I was young so I grew up with it. I'm also a big fan of Chuck Palahniuk.
I've been told that the amount of movies I have seen is pathetic. I haven't seen a lot of the 'classic' movies that everyone else has seen, although my friends have made it a point lately to change that. I'm more into TV series such as House, Supernatural, True Blood, and Dexter.
When it comes to food, I pretty much enjoy everything that is not Chinese food… I’ve never liked it for some reason.

The six things I could never do without

Books, music, friends, traveling, laughter and family.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Many different things.

On a typical Friday night I am

That changes from week to week. If I'm not at work or don't have to be to work early I'm out with friends, bowling, at the bar, going on random road trips, going to shows. Side note: I don't have to get drunk to have a good time.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I slept in a disc-golf park once. I feel the need to add that I did it completely sober (it was on that trip across the country that I mentioned earlier).

You should message me if

You find me intriguing.
