That is my philosophy. You can call it naive, and you may be right, but it is my strength and my identity every day.
You can never go wrong by learning more. I believe that it is our duty to seek to improve the world. Don't cling to pain. Don't expect happiness. Don't fear loss. Don't accept injustice. Enjoy the good. Endure the bad. Be selfless, and unconditionally kind and just, without ever expecting a reward. Knowledge and compassion. Dignity and strength. Every day make sure you help someone. Make sure to respect and acknowledge all sides of all things. Everyone is a person first, a member of groups second, a sum of their parts third, innumerable other things fourth, and a reflection of your biases last.
I'm a people person and I have a positive optimistic outlook on life. If I have problems I fix them. If I have free time I look for things to do and people to make happy. I don't get mopey, angry, or insular. I am honest and straightforward, talkative and kind. I like women who are aggressive and with high self-esteem than borders on arrogance. I strive for passion in all things. Nothing half-way.
I try new things for no reason other than the fact that I've yet to try them. I retry things I disliked in the past because I realize that I could have changed. I try not to second guess myself and instead just go for things, while being aware of risks of course. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, as some guy once said. I see that quite a few people on here describe themselves as "laid back" and I'm glad that that can work for them, but I don't see that as a positive thing. I like action, passion, movement, and large groups.
I'm big on health and wellness. I eat healthily, exercise, and I stay away from smoke and (most of the time) alcohol. Health is very sexy to me. An unhealthy lifestyle is a major turn off.
I love sociology and statistics. I've been told that I have to stop trying to analyze everyone because I come off as detached sometimes. I go to midnight black friday sales without my wallet just because I like to observe the behavior of groups. I rearranged the the letter keys on my keyboard so that they're in alphabetical order. I home cook almost every meal I eat. I don't believe in gender roles. I am a huge advocate of sex education and I believe that shaming people for their sexuality is a huge problem in modern America. I respect honesty above all things and I consider censorship, superstition, pseudoscience, and religion to be inherently dishonest and intolerable. I stay up to date on politics and policy and respect people who do the same.
As far as purely superficial things, I like tall women, lanky women, angular features, legs, and a sharp fashion sense. I also tend to be attracted to women who are a little older than me.
Things that I dislike? Smoking (very important), religion (also very important), dishonesty, passivity, silence, tactlessness, sloppiness, and social conservatism.
