My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I recently moved to Dekalb because I got a job working as a mailman for USPS. It's harder than it looks, but I like it quite a bit so far, and I'm losing weight doing it. Previously, I lived in Chicago and worked for roughly five years as a manager at GameStop. Growing up, I always wanted to be a writer, which is why I majored in English (oops!). I still write occasionally and really enjoy proofreading and editing. I'm also really liking Dekalb! It helps that I lived here before when I went to NIU and have friends who still live out here.

Anyway, I used to have a way longer profile, but much of it was outdated, so I figured I'd just rewrite it and make it shorter. Why not leave something for the date? (It's all about my sexy pics, anyway!)

I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to films, video games, and politics. I care about those things even more than your typical guy, however, unlike a typical guy, the only sport I really get into is NFL football. But even with the NFL, I'm no expert. I just enjoy watching. I also love a great TV show, but I tend to stick with hour-long dramas like Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy. I love Texas Hold Em poker, but I'm probably a bit rusty at it. And over the last year, I've gotten into geocaching. If you haven't heard of it, look it up! It's really neat! There is a decent amount of hidden treasure in Dekalb.

Anything else you wanna know, just ask. Chat me up!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
After four years in retail management, I've embarked on a whole new career with the United States Postal Service. On the side, I do freelance editing and writing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Grammar. Drinking you under the table. Kissing. Also, I'm told I'm great at conversation and making people laugh at the right moment.
The first things people usually notice about me

I often get complimented on my long, pretty eyelashes. It's usually followed by, "Are you wearing mascara?" No, I'm not.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I'll read anything from Shakespeare on, but I was raised on lots of Dean Koontz and Stephen King. I also LOVE a good short story. A couple of my recent reads: "Sharp Objects" by Gillian Flynn, "Full Dark, No Stars" by Stephen King, "A Very Simple Crime" by Grant Jerkins, "Homicide" by David Simon, "The Lock Artist" by Steve Hamilton, and "Good Neighbors" by Ryan David Jahn. I really enjoyed those last two and highly recommend them!

Movies: I'm a movie fanatic. My current favorite genres are dramas, crimer thrillers, and documentaries, but I grew up on 80s action and horror. Perhaps my favorite movie is "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." Other favorites include: "A Simple Plan," "Boogie Nights," "Catfish," "," "Terminator," "Gremlins," "Halloween," "Doubt," "Die Hard," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "Little Miss Sunshine," "12 Angry Men," "The Lookout," "Dawn of the Dead," "Gattaca," "51 Birch Street," "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles," "28 Days Later," "Rudy," "True Romance," "Bully," "Back to the Future," "25th Hour," "500 Days of Summer," "127 Hours," "The Town," "Unbreakable," "Goodfellas," "Unforgiven," "Crank," "The Dark Knight," "Wall-E," "Source Code," "I Saw the Devil," "Hesher," "Drive," "The Grey," "Chronicle," "We Need to Talk About Kevin," "Django Unchained," "The Place Beyond the Pines," "Jeff, Who Lives at Home." Seriously, though, I love it all. The list could go on forever.

TV Shows: The Shield, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, The Wonder Years, Freaks and Geeks, The Sopranos, Mad Men, and The Walking Dead. Sometimes, though, I don't like The Walking Dead...

Music: I love ALL kinds of music, but I'm pretty terrible at keeping up with what's current. Some faves: Metric, Kid Cudi, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Tom Petty, Journey, Eminem, Weezer, Billie Holiday, Bob Seger, old country, anything classic rock.

Food: burgers, pizza, Mexican, the usual. I make some badass BBQ chicken. I don't like seafood. I've tried. Shrimp is okay, I guess. I still need to try lobster...
