My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Basic shit first. I was born in New York, raised in Queens Village. I moved to Sanford in 04 for high school (mom's a paranoid former C.O. and insisted).

People say that I'm always level-headed. This is not true, although I do try. I'm just very introspective. I'm not shy, I'm reserved. The key difference is that when I'm wordless, it's not because I'm afraid to speak up.

I love reading and writing. I foolishly lost the last book I was reading, The Last Secret of the Temple by Paul Sussman. Any suggestions for a replacement? I almost always walk with a messenger bag equipped with notebook or sketch pad (if I'm feeling all confident like), assorted pencils and pens (no fewer than five, like any reasonable person) and usually a book or two. I never have more to write down than when I leave the bag home.

I like trying new things, but there're only a few hobbies that I've kept with for any length of time. Briefly, I play lots and lots of games, whether they involve consoles, boards, cards, balls (hurhur), dice, or computers. My favorites include Magic: The Gathering, Go, Chess, Marvel vs Capcom (I miss Jin), Elder Scrolls, D&D, Basketball, Spades... Et cetera. I follow Bleach and One Piece like a religion. Hunter X Hunter as well, when the writer isn't busy postponing/on hiatus/vanishing and feigning death. I'd really like to get into Boxing.

I'm bad at riddles, good at mazes, and I lack the patience for jigsaw puzzles. I like to draw and dance, even though I suck at both (with ever so slight improvements on the drawing part).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working on a few comic book projects. Waiting tables. Trying to establish dat independence. I intend to join the Marines within the next year.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing, reading, talking and listening, gaming, and making fun of the people I love (I love people with thick skin. It's called banter, pussy). I like to read psychology articles, though I haven't been to school in a while. I often play mediator/counselor for my friends and guiltily love every moment.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height, my smile, and my eyes. That's that people mention, anyway.

After that, though, you might notice my inquisitive nature (read: I'm nosey) or my resilient smile. You might notice how often I say stuff that somebody else has already said. "A great man/woman once said..." ect. is a line I use fairly frequently.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Orson Scott Card is badass (homophobe or no, dem books are amazing), as are Neil Gaiman, Rowling, Danielle Steel and Terry Pratchet. I read a lot of books, so I won't get exhaustive but my favorites include: Ender's Shadow (Card), Warlock (Smith), and Mainline (Christian). Harry Potter, too.

Movies: Pirates of the Caribbean (can't get enough of Jack swinging on ropes), Queen of the Damned, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, Rise of the Guardians, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, The Perks of being a Wallflower (both the movie and the book), Fight Club

Music: Flobots, The Offspring, Linkin Park, The Lonely Island, Eminem, Nicky Minaj, Pink, Yelawolf, Jason Mraz, Gorillaz, Disturbed, Imagine Dragons, Tech N9ne
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Pencils and paper for writing. Good books for inspiration. Clothes for warmth. Games for fun. At least one other person for second opinions.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The stories I want to tell, and how to tell them. Video games, life, when Hussie will start updating Homestuck again, where I'm gonna go and what I'm gonna do, both now and later.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At a friend's house, getting stoned and playing video games. At a bar, getting drunk and playing pool. At home writing. In Orlando dancing like a decidedly uncool epileptic. Shenanigans all day.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have cried while reading a book. Not frequently, but it happens. Last one that did it was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Hedwig. I'll also mutter to myself, laugh, and exhibit what appear to be schizophrenic tendencies to the uneducated. I can definitely immerse.

My friends and I track exp gained on our real-life adventures. We be DnD nerds.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to game with me.
If you've ever handled a d20 or a joystick (not the same as a controller).
If you've read a book in the last year.
If you're willing to tell me when I have a bad idea
If you'll help me think of a better one.
