My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an independent video game designer. I create fun and I love it.

I don't spend hours every day playing video games, though -- you won't have to worry about me being a World of Warcraft addict or anything. I do enjoy the occasional nerding out, though.

I'm a city guy who wishes public transportation was taken more seriously in this country. I enjoy camping and fishing but don't get to do it often -- I wouldn't describe myself as "active" but I do go indoor rock climbing some and I try to be reasonably healthy. I'm politically progressive and enjoy keeping up with politics -- I haven't turned into a complete pessimist yet. I listen to all those pretentious podcasts like Radiolab, This American Life, Freakonomics, etc -- recent favorite is Slate's Political Gabfest.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm self employed and make video games -- both my own projects and freelance work for other startups and local artists.

I'd love to eventually also have the opportunity to design interactive art for cities as public installations and invent gadgets and things (already doing a little bit on the gadget front). Basically, I'm going to create the world of tomorrow.. ahem, THE WOOOOORLD OF TOMORROOOOOW!

Designing video games will probably always be a passion of mine, though. There's just something about thinking up something fun to do and making it possible for people to do it, albeit virtually.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Bad jokes
-Mumbling along to hip hop
-Making an ass of myself
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books - I've been reading a lot of Haruki Murakami -- I'd love to find more authors that create that sort of rich, surreal metaphysical fiction. Also really enjoyed the Altered Carbon trilogy, but I think it spoiled most other sci fi for me.

Movies - Eternal Sunshine, Cashback, I Heart Huckabees, Waking Life, The Last Dragon, Fight Club, Lost in Translation, Inception, Sin City, Reign Over Me, Tokyo!, The Science of Sleep, Looper, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Documentaries on various subjects.

Music - The Hood Internet, White Panda, Zero 7, Nujabes, Röyksopp, School of Seven Bells, Electric Six, The Presidents of the United States of America, Childish Gambino, Lana Del Ray, ~80s music. I like when different genres blend together. I obviously enjoy cheesy music.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-The internet, to feed my curiosity
-GPS (now through my phone), to get to new places quicker -- I still barely know my way around Dallas without it. No shame.
-Pushing elevator buttons (one of the many perks of living downtown)
-Juice, because mmmmm
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My work -- it's both a job and a hobby that I really enjoy. The future, how societies can adapt to new technologies and hurdles. How I can be a better person.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends on what's going on
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I often joke about escaping death by replacing my body with robot parts. I'd totally do it.
