My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Having lived most of my life in London and then Paris, I've also done stints in the middle-east and Spain. I've been back in France for a while now and have found a balance that I enjoy between travel (for work and pleasure) and spending time at home with friends and family.
Still don't know what I really want to do in my life but have heard that some of the most interesting 50 year olds still don't know what they want to do with *their* lives so I guess that I'm OK with that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
My work takes me to most countries in Europe, the Middle-East, Africa and North America which is great and I suppose makes me lucky as I'm constantly meeting and working with lots of different, great individuals. When not travelling I try to make the most of life, friends and family. I enjoy my work but love life and want to make the most of what little time we all have to explore this great world and its people.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I suppose I'm good at a lot of things but *really* good...?
Making friends and getting on with people. I'm a good communicator and love getting to know people, to swap stories, experiences.
The first things people usually notice about me

I'm not typically French, nor am I typically English. I suppose people notice my "difference" first; but they seem to think that I'm still fun to be with, so that's OK!

Being honest. I try not lead people on. My father once told me: "When you don't lie, you don't have to remember anything". I try to live by that.

Friends I've shown my profile to said that I'm "a good guy" and that I should say so here. So there. It's done.

The list is long.
I generally try to balance out museums, exhibitions, and "serious" reading with more lighthearted pursuits.

Books & authors I love:
Scott Fitzgerald | Hemingway | Ian Rankin | Ian Banks | Christopher Hitchens/Richard Dawkins | Game of Thrones (Yes, the books) | Jane Austen | Oscar Wilde | Terry Pratchett

Lost in Translation | Midnight in Paris (The Hemingway monologue blows my mind) | Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels | L.A. Confidential | The appartment | Brazil | Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Paul | Edward Scissorhands | High Fidelity | How to train your Dragon (I know... I know...)

The Wire | The Office (UK version) | Castle | HIMYM | Homeland | The Big Bang Theory | Sherlock (Series 2 Episode 1 in particular) | The Bridge

Led Zepplin | Stevie Ray Vaughan | Black Sabbath | Supertramp | The Black Keys | Ghostland Observatory | DeadMau5 | Monster Magnet | Wolfmother | LCD Soundsystem | Daft Punk
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Outside of the obvious (my friends & family, etc.) there isn't much I can't do without but what I'd miss most would be:
- Holidays spent snowboarding off-piste
- Motorcycling with my friends
- Art, museums and generally those cultural pursuits that make life worth living
- My guitars and playing them badly
- My passport
- Someone to share all the above with (apart for the bad guitar playing perhaps)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
You, what you look like, what you might be doing now, and where you might be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't really believe in "typical" nights. Fridays are great but we should give Mondays and Tuesdays a chance too!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I believe in God as much as I believe in dating websites (I don't) but here I am all the same. Oh, the irony...

That I own 6 guitars but still play badly

That I don't own an iPhone
