My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have a bachelor's degree in Anthropology, with a focus on Archaeology. Lots of people think that has something to do with dinosaurs, but that's the wrong -ology.

I have a job as a workforce analyst at a large online trading company. Its not the most exciting thing, but it pays the bills, and I don't dread getting up and going to work everyday.

I play bass guitar, and recently started playing in a band again.

I also began doing martial arts again as a fun way to get in shape, and because kicking people in the face is fun.

I love animals, especially my dog. She's like my fuzzy faced little sister. Dogs also love me. Probably because I'm part yeti, so they get the animal vibe from me. I dunno....

I enjoy snowboarding and wakeboarding, though I don't get to do either as much as I used to, and that sucks.

I'm kind of a nerd, kind of a dork, and definitely a goofball.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm:
Working and trying to better my career.
Getting back into playing music. Starting to play shows again.
Trying to be more active and healthy...I've got the exercise part covered, but I need some help with my diet.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being part yeti. For real, I'm almost always warm. I'm the guy in short sleeved shirts when its only 30 degrees outside. I'm the guy who thinks that anything above 80 is way too hot. I'm a human heating blanket in the winter.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably that my normal everything is fine face looks like I'm slightly angry even though I'm not.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Fantasy- Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire, the Malazan Book of the Fallen, The Black Company, the Hitchhiker' s Guide to the Galaxy, American Gods and lots of others.
Adventure- Clive Cussler stuff is fun. Its easy and predictable, but fun.
Educational-I read books on archaeology, science, and philosophy fairly often.

Movies and TV Shows:
Fairly similar to books. Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Action/Adventure, Comedies, Martial Arts, Educational/Edutainment.
Snatch, Serenity, and The Big Lebowski are probably some of my all time favorite movies.
For TV shows I generally watch stuff like they used to play on the Discovery Channel, the History Channel and Animal Planet like Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs and Cities of the Underworld. I also enjoy Dr. Who (recent fan) and Sherlock. However I don't really watch much TV now.

Well I'll be upfront, because you will find out sooner or later...
I'm a metal head. Some of my favorite bands are Meshuggah, Opeth, Between the Buried and Me, Gojira, Mastodon, Intronaut, Crowbar, Down, Clutch, The Infectious Grooves... I could go on and on.
However, I like lots of different types of music. Anything that is well written and requires some sort of talent to play. I enjoy Jazz, Blues, Funk, and Fusion. I like some Punk and Ska. Classic Rock and Hard Rock. Some Hip Hop and some techno. Oh yeah, and Irish folk music. I really don't like country or pop.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My dog
My friends
My personal bubble
Good books
Pirates (couldn't think of any one single more thing, and who doesn't like pirates, yar!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Sometimes I stay up late at night thinking about deep stuff.. you know, like who keeps stealing my socks. I mean, every time I do laundry, the socks go in as multiples of two, but they always come out with one or two missing a mate...

Or how dogs were the actual inventors of the social networking phenomenon. I mean, Dog A pees on a lamp-post, thereby "posting" something. A bunch of other dogs walk by, sniff the lamp-post, and some of them pee on it as well, thereby "reading" and "commenting" on Dog A's original post.
Dog A comes by again later on, sniffs at all the "comments" left by the other dogs, then pees on the lamp-post again, thereby "replying" to the other comments.

Sometimes I think about serious things as well... like thinking about my life, the choices I've made, where I'm going, and what I want to do next, and if I'm happy with where I am now.

Lately I've been thinking alot about how awesome it would be to give everything up and move to the mountains and live off the land. Problem is that I don't know how to hunt, trap, forage etcc.... so I'd probably die pretty fast. But that might be better than slowly wasting away in a cubicle dealing with what we're told is the "real world".
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Apparently filling out online dating wish your life was as exciting as mine.

Normally I'm either at band practice, or hanging out with my friends somewhere.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I was in second grade, my favorite music was Michael Jackson and Tiffany. Yeah. Not lying.
