My self-summary
"If you can find even one person you really like, you're lucky. And if that person can also stand you, you're really lucky.
But what if you find someone you can talk to while you eat apples on a bright fall morning...well...I suppose there's no point in getting greedy, is there?"

-A great quote that I just butchered-

I am a person who prefers spending his free time outside and/or playing some sort of game or sport with other humans and generally being a screwball while doing it. Despite being supercompetitive, I never let the little things bother me, and I'm much better at shrugging things off than getting upset over them. Because even though I lost at Scrabble today, my day isn't going to be any brighter if I spend the next several hours steaming over it (pretty sure "xiquz" isn't a real word, though.)
What I’m doing with my life
I've always been a numbers guy. It's like poetry, only I understand it. This is what led to my currently pursuing a degree in Economics. It's is a perfect fit for me and it earns double points for being highly connected to psychology, one of my other favorite things. The next time someone tells you that a tax cut for the ultra rich is an efficient appropriation of money, I would like you to frown at them for me. Thank you.

In my work time, I'm a knife-wielding chef/manager at a banquet hall/museum. I didn't know that was a combination of things, either. However, I've developed some decent culinary chops out of the deal. It's a fun place to work and I get to make/eat a lot of things I would have never, ever touched otherwise. Like crocodile soup and sometimes even a salad.
I’m really good at
I'm pretty good at any and all sports and games. I'm typically more than eager to engage in any act of competition at any time. Pretty glad winter is (mostly) behind us, so I can get back outside. I can only play soccer on the stairs for so long. I used to play a lot of card games and I was quite successful at them (yeah, I'm pretty dorky.)

Understanding people is another of my talents. I don't know if it comes from a solid ability to read people or just my own sense of empathy, but whatever the case, I tend to have a good sense what people are feeling and thinking. If I were a superhero, this would be my superpower, and they would call me 'Empathasmo.'

I never make the same mistake twice. There are plenty of perfectly good mistakes out there that I haven't been able to make yet.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm tall enough to hit my head on the ceiling when I go down stairs. (You let your guard down just once and WHAM! Lump city)

Also, I've been told that I look like Mr. Clean, even though I don't wear earrings or plain white T-shirts...EVER.

The six things I could never do without
1. The friends and family (yeah, yeah)

2. My job
My co-workers call me "killer"...I have no earthly idea why.

3. The internet
I rather enjoy being one Google search away from all information on the planet.

4. Overthinking everything
I long ago accepted that my brain is going to work overtime on pretty much everything whether I want it to or not.

5. Games/sports
The best times are just sitting around a table with friends all night hanging out and playing games or finding a warm day for some pickup basketball.

6. Using made up words
It's a perfectly chromulent way of embiggening conversation.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Is it cheaper per oz to buy a 2 liter of Pepsi or a 12 pack of Pepsi?
Perspective
Where I'll be in 5/10/500 years
Are the Cleveland Indians for real this year? Probably not.
Do I even care that they're making more Star Wars movies?
Game theory
On a typical Friday night I am
Trading wood for sheep
Having a deathmatch between Mario and Luigi
Sharing a really big sandwich that I found
Dying repeatedly while playing old Super Nintendo games.
Invading Kamchatka
Being cursed at by friends and family alike because I'm better than they are at all of the above.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Despite what my feeble attempts at humor might have you believe, I'm looking for something serious. Some combination of best friend, soul mate, better half, aimless walk partner, snowball fight rival, etc. I'm not trying to rush or force anything, mind you. A solid relationship is built and grown over time, and sometimes two people just don't click, that's normal. However, I'm really not looking for anything that doesn't at least have the potential to go the distance.

Also, I can't dunk...it torments me.
