My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I want to see the Aurora Borealis.
I want to finish writing a book, and see it published.
I want to have a family.
I want to live in Europe for a little while.
I want to be part of a musical. (-Ha! I just did this, so I can cross it off my list! I was in a really good community theater rendition of Disney's "Beauty & the Beast". Of course, it being a great experience, I definitely intend to do it again.)
I want to jump a horse.
I want to be recognized for my good qualities, especially since I'm not a loud or pushy person.
I want to see my work made into tv or film.
I want to be allowed to change my mind.

I'm looking for someone worthy of my adoration. I crave intellectual and creative stimulation from my companion. I love witty banter (but not mean-spirited). I admire a man who works hard and is working toward his ambitions, who enjoys being with people, but won't mind giving me alone-time too. I admire fairness and leadership, humility and confidence (yes, you can have both), and devotion to the Lord - I'm committed to the LDS church, and my future partner is, too.

I'm a nerd, and a girl. I love Star Wars, swords and archery, RPG video games, nail polish, high heels, sparkly things, superheroes, clever humor, chivalry, epic stories about courageous people, and costumes. I don't like things that are rude, crude, or lewd.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
A lot of things I want in life will have to wait til I have someone to share them with me. In the meantime, I'm trying to make the most of the single life and prepare myself for the future, whatever it may hold. I have a bachelor's in illustration and I spent five years working in the crafting industry, but not exactly doing illustration. I'm still working on getting that bit of ambition up and running during my spare time, along with writing. I've been to a lot of writing conferences and such, so as soon as I actually finish a book, I'll know what to do with it. I launched an online graphic novel in 2012, and I just moved to Atlanta to start an MFA program in comic books.

I enjoy doing lots of things, mostly involving learning cool stuff about nature and the world and people in it, or making up things of my own.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Foreign languages. I've studied French, Welsh and Japanese so far and I want to take some German. I'm a decent artist (hence the major..) and a decent singer. I've played the piano since I was four or so. I'm also very good at being nice. I have a lot of friends because as my brother says, I take care of them. I'm a good writer (I love words) and I have a thing about grammar and spelling (literacy is hot). I'm very good at being positive and optimistic, seeing the beauty around me and the best in other people.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my hair. Probably because it's long. But I've been told my eyes are really pretty and also my smile..

What people don't really notice, though, is that I have beautiful hands. And my sense of humor, I'm told, is dry and subtle, so perhaps not immediately obvious.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Favorite authors include Jane Austen, Jim Butcher, Lois McMaster-Bujold, Ally Carter, Patricia C. Wrede, Anne Perry, Brandon Sanderson, Elizabeth Moon, Maggie Stiefvater. Mostly fantasy/sci-fi, with some young adult fiction and historical fiction and such thrown in.

Movies: The Avengers, of course, John Carter, Oscar, Pirates of the Caribbean I, Labyrinth, Little Mermaid, Captain America, Star Wars, Pride & Prejudice (the A&E version), the Scarlet Pimpernel, Bourne Identity, Galaxy Quest, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Three Musketeers, Sky High, Batman Begins, Superman Returns, Stardust, Star Trek, Meet the Robinsons, Iron Man, Hellboy2, etc.. As far as genres, a lot of fantasy (again), sci-fi, superhero, action/adventure, and lots of historical stuff.

Shows: Currently I like White Collar, the Mentalist, Community, Grimm, Once Upon A Time, Sherlock, Vampire Diaries, Castle, Legend of Korra, and the occasional Doctor Who. Old shows I love include Stargate: Atlantis & SG-1, Firefly, Supernatural, Danny Phantom, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Scarecrow and Mrs King, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Chuck.

Music: Mostly alternative. I'm more of a song-by-song person than a band/album person, but particular favorites are Vertical Horizon, Dexter Freebish, Garth Brooks, Jimmy Eat World, Yanni, Afrocelt Sound System. I like some classical, new age (it's good for the writing/drawing), hip hop, country (mostly early-90's stuff), world music, and a lot of musicals.

Food: Broccoli, potatoes, popcorn.. sometimes I'll go to a movie theater just to buy popcorn and take it home. I'm not very picky, but I prefer Mexican food over Italian, I like Chinese and Japanese but not most fish, and I've recently fallen in love with Thai curry and Greek food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My scriptures, my sketchbook (for writing and drawing), some kind of music, a good book to read, a pen/pencil and someone to keep me company and share ideas with.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how to get where I want to go in life, how to make a living doing what I love, how I can be a good future mother and still keep my hobbies. I think a lot about the stories I'm writing. I think about places around the world I want to see/be and how I'm going to get there. And, naturally, who I'm going to end up sharing forever with, what he's doing, what he's like, and where I'm going to find him..
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Since I just moved here, I don't have a typical Friday night yet. But if I don't have anything going on, I'm probably playing video games, working on my comic, writing, or watching tv shows I've missed.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I live in my head more than I probably should. I like people, and I'm good with people, but I don't perform well on the spot and I'm not as good at one-on-one as I am in small groups.

you like geek girls but you can still get on swimmingly in normal society, and you're committed to serving God and supporting your future family. Also, if you're witty, charming, well-traveled, or like any/all of the things I like.
