I have come to realize true happiness in my life comes from that
balance of things I think we all truly desire and need in our life
whether we all know it or not. A balance of spiritual, physical,
intellectual, and emotional desires. Realizing that through
experience and over time, I would say that I am working daily
toward keeping those things in my life and also growing in those
areas on a consistent basis.
"Dare to risk!
To laugh is to risk appearing a fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach for another is to risk involvement.
To expose your ideas, your dreams, before a crowd is to risk their
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To believe is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to
risk nothing. The people who risk nothing, do nothing, have
nothing, are nothing. They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they
cannot learn, feel change, grow, love, live. Chained by their
attitudes, they are slaves; they have forfeited their freedom. Only
a person who risks is FREE!"
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've realized and fully believe I was put here to be great, do big
things, take away people's excuses, and not live a life among the
average. Being real, I haven't always tried or have lived my life
to anywhere close to my fullest potential, but I'm working daily
now toward gradually getting closer and closer to that potential. I
am working toward impacting other people's lives in many different
and big ways. That includes working toward providing much more for
my current and future family above and beyond what I ever had. I
fully believe that putting investments in people will yield the
biggest and most rewarding returns. So many great things to
On top of the big picture above, I don't ever define what I'm doing
with my life by my current job. I am making an impact there but
nowhere close to the potential I was put here to make. Currently
though as most wonder, for the time being I’m an engineer for an
aerospace and defense company.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My interest in people. My ability to jump into any type of group
and make conversation. My not being afraid to state what I believe
on a subject or issue that might come up, but at the same time
being able to listen to what somebody else believes, and take time
to understand why (I can respect somebody who states "both" what
they believe and why, even if I don't fully agree). My positive
outlook on things in life. My ability to have fun in any situation.
For the ones that get to know me better, they know I let loose
quite often in good ways!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: "The Rhythm of Life", "The Alchemist", "The Slight Edge",
"How Good is Good Enough", and one of my favorites "Greatest
Miracle in the World"
Movies: I love watching a good movie but usually have only done so
when there was somebody in my life worth watching it with.
TV: I don't really spend any time watching regular TV. I would
rather be out with friends etc. Did you know the average American
spends something like 3 hours or something a day watching TV!? That
would be 45 straight days per year (yes 24 hours each) for the
people interested. Crazy.
Music: I love all kinds of music. I actually worked at a concert
venue for 4 years or so in college.
Food: I would say I love it all and am not opposed to really
anything. I do keep it healthy though for the most part but am not
afraid to put down the ice cream every so often.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Relationships (God/Family/Friends)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to grow myself in certain ways to ultimately make an impact in
the lives of others. Also, looking into a small amount and learning
from the past, what action I need to take in in the present, and
what I can do, have goals for, and plan for in the future. And last
but not least, making sure to keep everything fun in life along
with over the last couple years realizing I also need force myself
to take time to rest and relax some.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...usually out with friends or traveling/away on a weekend trip
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm an open book. Ask away!
