I've had all sorts of hobbies throughout my life ranging from Archery to Card Gaming, the things i'm truly passionate about are Cooking, Singing and Conventions.
It's fun wearing your heart on your sleeve as you sing about Empty Chairs at Empty Tables, or throw a few things in a pan and watch them as they become golden brown.. Though truthfully my favourite part of Cooking is other people loving my food, that isn't selfish is it? Heh.
Conventions is the other love, be it walking around and having people take pictures of you cause they love your costume or back at the room playing silly drinking games till the parties roll around, just always a blast. Only downside is it's so exhausting!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm living with a friend and two other house-mates in Wood Green, i currently attend an Access to Higher Ed Science course with the intent of studying Chemistry and Bio Chemistry at King's College. I've always loved Science since a young age and after screwing up my grades when I was younger and having a soul destroying job with a Bank it was time for a change. I fill my remaining time that's not taken up with Studying with Board Gaming, Roleplay, watching Anime and Drawing.
I intend to be a researcher, when I found out that in my last year of Uni I could be published in a Scientific Journal it made my heart race, how amazing would that be? Safe, secure and in a job I'm challenged by, that's my aim.
I’m really good at
I'm a fairly strategic thinker that makes me good at playing Board Games, my friend always curses me cause I beat him a lot, love teasing him about it too. I've had singing lessons but not settled enough into my new routines and budget yet to pick them up again but I've been told I've got a pretty good voice, just need to control it. Recently picked up Art again after a long hiatus and practicing my skills as often as I can though procrastination hard to ignore. Lastly Cooking, cause I just love people enjoying my food, so I frequently try new recipes and add my own flair.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm about the geekiest looking Ginger Giant you've ever seen? Having copper hair, and being 6'3'' will do that to a guy.
I'm often told that I care a little bit too much about other people, and they're probably right, but y'kno, I want people to have fun... I also want to make them do silly things in drunken dares, so swings and roundabouts, right?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Darren Shan Saga (From when I was younger, I don't read as much as I should..), The Way of the Shadows, John Dies @ the End
Princess Bride, Les Miserables (Musical is SO much better though.) Hairspray.
Game of Thrones, Shokugeki no Soma, Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus
Musicals, Metalcore, Chillstep
Fish, Asian, Meat
The six things I could never do without
My mechanical Pencil, Science, Companionship, Creativity, Emotion, Playfighting with someone I love.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I could one day be in a Lab with other Scientists working on medicine that can change the world, how much of a thin line they have to walk with ethics and what I'd do when presented with a choice that could be unethical. It's daunting to think one day I might be one of those people written about in the news coming closer to cure diseases we've been fighting off for centuries, but also incredibly inspiring.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'd love to be doing all sorts on my friday nights, If it was staying in, then being enthralled in a particular role playing campaign, or ending up the human couch in some sort of elaborate drunken bet. On an evening out it'd be catching a musical with a good friend or dancing on the stage of a convention after party. Actually not quite sure which is the most typical.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I may or may not have fallen down the stairs while creeping down MGS style to avoid the Landlord only to end up in a heap on the floor with him telling me 'You certainly know how to fall don't you?' With me desperately trying to hide the damage to my knee to avoid getting stuck talking to him all night..
You should message me if
You've never been to a convention before and you want someone to accompany you.
You're an amazing Storyteller and need a player.
Or lastly, you fancy being made to shout out advert scripts in the style of Shakespeare out of a hotel window. ''Cilit Bang, doth the foul stain be gone!''
