My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Guaranteed to make you laugh. Can turn just about anyone's 'frown' upside-down... and you'll very rarely ever catch me without a smile on my face as well. Love to have fun, and trying something new. I am Very honest and straight forward, extremely easy going, and loyal to the end, valuing friendships overall I enjoy helping people and believe that they should do the same and life would be a lot easier. Born and raised in a small town environment and believe in those virtues 100%, very old fashioned guy most of the time. Any more info needed feel free to ask... nothing to hide and not at all shy. I take pride in my intelligence and will always be a lifelong student, Jack of all trades... master of many as well!

Huge animal lover and enjoy spending time with my baby girl... a very sweet chocolate lab that just loves to play.
Enjoy the outdoors, be it camping and fishing... or just spending the weekend in my pool with friends and a good bbq.

Hoping to meet new people for stimulating conversations, love sharing my knowledge, learning new things, and engaging in a good debate (may even switch sides to make it more interesting... hehe).
Looking for good friends and hopefully someone special
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Former HS science teacher, taught honors/PreAP Biology, Chem, Physics for 5 yrs.
I absolutely Love teaching... I love sharing my knowledge with others, and seeing their expressions when a difficult or complex subject finally "clicks" and they can say "I get it... this is easy now!"

Currently finishing up my PhD in Genomics and looking to teach and continue my research in an university.
One day I will have my own clone to do my work for me so I can go play on the beach spending the money they earn :-p
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
SCIENCE.... go ahead and test me ;)

HUGE collection of music and movies....
over 1000 CD's and 60GB of Mp3's plus 1000+DVDs... netflix is my best friend

Colbert, Daily Show, Chelsea Lately are nightly staples (thanks to the DVR)... also love 'How I Met Your Mother', 'Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia', '30 Rock', 'South Park', 'Venture Brothers', 'Archer', 'Californication', 'Weeds', 'Dexter', Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, 'Dirty Jobs'... anything interesting and educational (which used to include a lot of Discovery/History/TLC channel.... but they spend more time now chasing monsters, ghosts, and and people who didn't know they were pregnant)

Listen to everything from Alternative to classical... no rap or "young" country however (old stuff yes, new no)
majority of my collection is 80's and classic rock...
Greatest concert EVER was being able to see Pink Floyd live!!! Fav 80's band- Depeche Mode... have over 100CDs just of them (remixes, bootlegs, imports, etc...)

Not much for reading books... its enough reading all the publications for my research.
BUT.. do love Micheal Crichton for his attention to detail and making his fiction plausible. Stephen Hawking's books are excellent for the lay person wanting to know quantum physics, string theory, or planning to build your own time machine. (I actually built my own functioning time machine... ask me about it) Al Franken's takes on politics and life are hilarious, and he does an incredible job of researching and citing his material he uses to debunk others with.
Last non-text book I read was Steve Martins autobiography... a great look into the mind of a comic genius. In case you didnt know he 'was born a poor black child'. So its amazing what he's accomplished!

FOOD... I have the metabolism of a hummingbird and will eat anything you stick in front of my face. Though I do have my favs... Chinese (well any Asian cuisine really), Mexican, good home cooking... and anything spicy
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Ballerinas are always on their toes. Why don't they just get taller ballerinas?

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine.

Some people are like Slinkies ... not really good for anything, but you can't help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Actually I have no problem telling my relatively few embarrassing moments (kinda proud of them actually)... but I dont type them out, they are stories best told in person
