Information Theory, Complexity, Emergency, AI, Carl Sagan,
Kurzweil, Moravec, Brian Greene's Elegant Universe, and The Fabric
of the Cosmos, Hawkins
Weird and/or subtle/and or complex films: and TV: Lynch, Carpenter,
Kubrick, Craven, Gilliam, Cronenburg, Lost, Cube (and both
sequels!), Lost, The Cell, Buckaroo Banzai, Ravenous, Requiem for a
Dream, The Game, Lemony Snicket's..., What Dreams May Come++, V for
Vendetta++, V, XistenZ(?), The Thirteenth Floor, The City of Lost
Children, Brazil, Memento, Sin City, Spaceballs, Ghostbusters, Lost
in Translation, Being John Malkovich, Heavy Metal, Metropolis
Good Anime: FLCL++, Mindgame++ (find it!), Miazaki (Spirited
Away++), Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Akira, Evangelion if I
actually sat down and watched it (or so they say), a few more that
I was probably way out of my gourd when I saw them, Most AMV's,
Classic and Progressive rock: Yes, Rush, Queensryche, Pink Floyd,
Dream Theatre (Metropolis Trifecta!!!)
Electronica: Orbital, Crystal Method, The Orb, Autechre,
Squarepusher, The Propellerheads; I feel old now...
Cuisine: European, American, Sushi, Thai, Indian, Peruvian, Cuban;
so far, The only ones I don't care for are Hawaiian and Ethiopian.
Too squishy for me I think.
