I am Asian, awesome, and secretly a ninja..
My Self-Summary
Alright, let's start with the basics. I'm 24 years old, and I'm
Asian. South Korean, if you want to be specific. I've lived in the
United States for most of my life, though, so I speak fluent
English, no accent. Unless you count the Midwest. But there's no
avoiding that. I work evenings full-time, spend most of the other
parts of my day sleeping, working on various projects on my
computer, or plotting to take over the world with an army of
robotic ninjas. One of these days...
I'm pretty into anime, video games, and sci-fi. Too many different
series to list here, but ask and I'll tell. Not everything
mainstream interests me. Music-wise, see below.
Keeping it short...I'm bisexual, people have told me before that
being bi and a male means you're just horny. I disagree; I feel I
know what I'm looking for in a person and it doesn't matter if they
happen to be a male or female. That being said, I do have some
preferences in both friends and relationships. But that'd be
telling. Interested yet? Maybe? Just a little? Great! Message me,
and we'll talk more.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working full time, paying my rent, saving for conventions and
the future. And it's going pretty well. I live with one of my
friends, he owns a house and we've got it split between us. I do
training for Verizon out at their Weldon Spring call center (No, I
don't sell phones), and that's been keeping me busy.
I've taken a few college classes, when I could afford to.
Eventually, my original goal was to get a degree in secondary
education and history, with the goal of being a high school history
teacher. I've re-thought that recently, with my job status. Since
I'm in a secure position as a trainer and moving up, I've been
thinking to switching over to something more business-oriented to
help give me a pay raise and bigger office. That's always good,
right? It's all up in the air though, so I just continue taking
general classes that would apply to either until I can make a
decision. I'm still making money in the meantime, so I don't see it
as a waste.
I've considered moving to another state, but right now, I'd want to
make sure I had a job secured before I do so. That's one of the
things I take seriously. But I've traveled before, so it's still an
option.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh. I can also do this trick with 2 hula hoops and
a meat grinder, but I don't think that could be shown here. But
keeping it clean, I generally try to make others feel comfortable
and usually succeed.
You want me on your team if you're in a trivia contest. Unless it's
sports. I suck at sports trivia. But Trivial Pursuit? Oh, yeah.
That's where it's at.
I've been accused of being too generous, too. I generally don't let
my friends buy anything, because I like helping them out, even if
they don't need me to.
Oh, and I can recite the alphabet backwards drunk. Does that count?
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair. It has red in it. People say things about it all the time.
That, and my eyes, since I also tend to wear blue contacts. I mean,
how many Koreans with red streaks and blue eyes do you see, really?
If you live in California, New York, or any area with a high Asian
population, don't answer that.
It's either that or my tattoo, since most people's first question
to me is "Is that Spiderman?!?" Which is generally followed by an
expansive sigh, and a little piece of my soul dying.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Rise Against
would definitely be my favorite music group, I'm a big fan of punk
music. Food, I like a wide variety. I like to cook, so anything I
can actually make myself is what I enjoy the most. Books, I'm more
of a non-fiction, but I'm still getting over an addiction to some
sci-fi series. And movies...well, let's just say I've been let down
by a lot of big shows lately. But old movies can be great, I still
love the original The Thing. Ok, not that old. What about
"She-Monster"? Anyone ever seen that? Black and white! Hah! And
James Stewart. I love those old movies.
The six things I could never do without
A job, my friends, the internet, my pots and pans, my kitten,
and...um...electricity.
Seriously, I hate questions like these. Asking someone to
prioritize their life usually means they miss something and feel
horrible about it when they realize it or it's brought to their
attention.
For the sake of argument, I'll try again, and from a logical
standpoint.
Air. Ground. Food. Water. Medical supplies. Shelter.
See? That's just boring.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I like to think about random things, like trying to figure out why
squares have to be square and circles have to be round. I mean, who
came up with this stuff? But a lot of the time, it's about my
future, where I see myself in 5 or 10 years, and how I will get
there.
Also, for some reason, I spend an inordinate amount of time
thinking about why Pluto isn't a planet.
Mainly I think about the "What if" moments, wondering what my life
would be like if I had made a different decision at any point in
time, and whether or not I would actually do it if I could actually
change any decision. I don't know. It's a trip, though.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working, then heading off to a friend's house to relax. I love my
job, but I love getting off work more. I might drop by the bar for
a few drinks if someone else is up there, but rest and relaxation
is the general order of things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
When I'm alone and no one's watching, I like to sing showtunes.
Sometimes I even dance.
Plus, I clean dishes. I'm paranoid about doing that in front of
people.
Um...oh yeah. I used to sleep with a stuffed camel, but I'll never
say what age I stopped doing that at.
You should message me if
Any of this made you laugh in a good way, or if you're just
desperate. Or if you actually find me interesting, I suppose, but I
claim no responsibility for thoughts like that.
