Before you read on, if you smoke or have kids, you might as well stop reading! I don't have time for any of that.
Now that we have that out of the way, let's start!
Hello everyone, my name is Andrew! I'm originally from the east coast and have been out here since early February. I would describe myself as smart, funny, nerdy, affable, enthusiastic, and anything BUT normal. I take great pleasure in the small things in life. I'm very passionate about life and I enjoy being around others who have the same kind of passion. I'm the kind of person that loves to try everything. I have an extremely open mind. I may or may not like it, but at least I can take pride in saying that I have at least tried it!
I think my defining quality is my attitude. I'm the kind of person who sees the good in people and the world at large. That's not to say I'm not cynical from time to time, but I don't let the negativity or pessimism of the world bring me down. I'm a positive person with a dose of realism! I'm more outgoing now than I was several years ago, but I still need my alone time. I also overthink everything and I have been called the "overthinking optimist" which suits me perfectly.
One of my biggest passions is travel. I have been to three continents (USA, Australia, and Europe including a semester in Munich) and did two years of AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps). If you're interested, ask me about these experiences because I'd be happy to share them with you because sharing them on okcupid doesn't do the travel gods justice!
I LOVE sports and I'm an "ESPNholic" and sports radio junkie. My favorite sports include baseball, basketball, and football. I'm a HUGE baseball geek and love pouring over news, rumors, stats, history, broadcasters, you name it. I love the Yankees and have been a fan since I was a kid! They are my number one sports priority. I love watching college basketball, namely UConn and Syracuse. I should warn you that I'm not a casual fan by any stretch. I have a plethora of websites that I check (ESPN, Deadspin, SI, MLB Trade Rumors, Fangraphs, some Yankee blogs). I take sports very seriously!
As far as what I'm looking for on here. I'm just looking to meet people and see where it goes. It's so easy to get trapped in that mindset of actively looking for a relationship and thinking about it too much, but I just want to let things happen.
