I am compasionate, quiet, and cerebral.
My Self-Summary
Honestly, I don't know how to describe myself but I can always try
and try I shall. I am a bit of a nerd and somewhat geeky, I just
love working with
computers, and am looking for a job in
the IT field. Math is a weakness but
words are my strength, I love
writing and
reading.
There is nothing that I love more than to exercising my creativity,
be it through problem solving, story telling or some other outlet.
I enjoy
history
and feel that the world would be a far better place if our leaders
would take the time to learn from it.
If there is more you want to know about who I am and what makes me
me, just ask and get to know me since a person cannot be defined
accurately in words.
One thing to keep in mind is that I am usually quite reserved until
I know someone better. Once I feel comfortable with a person I
start to cut lose and let more of who I am show. I'm not a social
animal, clubs, bars and parties are not my thing at all. I prefer
quiet environments where I can really talk to a person and get to
know them.
What I’m doing with my life
Well I've earned my associates, and am now concentrated on trying
to land an internship while I work on earning my bachelors degree
in IT.
Aside from that, I've decided that this economy should be seen as
an opportunity rather than the force that is keeping me out of
work. To that end I am working to gain new skills so that I might
start my own business in the IT field, and working on my novel. I
have no set goals on the novel, I just write when inspiration hits.
I’m really good at
Listening to others, observing the world around me, doing my best
to help any who ask for help.
The first things people usually notice about me
If a person has known me for a long time they notice that I have
lost a lot of weight and that I now have let my facial hair grow.
As for people I have just met, I don't know.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Favorite books: The Things They Carried, The Redwall Series by
Brian Jaques, 1984, Animal Farm, and the list goes on. Oh and my
number one favorite,
The Hitchhikers
Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams, A Canticle for
Lebowitz .
Movies: Well if it is based on a true story the odds are that I
like it. The movies that make my top ten are, in no particular
order, Ladder 49, October Sky, Lean on Me, Stand and Deliver, We
Were Soldiers, Soldier, Stargate, The Emperors New Clothes,
Gladiator (despite some historical inaccuracies), The Phantom of
the Opera (The 2004 version).
My number one favorite TV show was and is
Babylon 5, which is closely followed
by Stargate:SG1, StarTrek:TNG, StarTrek:DS9,
StarTrek:Enterprise.
As far as Music goes, I am into Simon and Garfunkel, the
Beatles(who isn't), Hayley Westenra, Yes and various others. I also
have a love of classical composers, Beethoven.
The six things I could never do without
In order of importance,
1. Family, I'm an extremely family oriented person and there is
nothing more important to me than that.
2. My cats.
3. Friends. What is a man without friends to help him through
trouble, or to simply have fun with.
4. Books. I've always enjoyed reading and I've always enjoyed the
smell of the pages of a book. I cannot imagine a world without
them.
5. Nature. I love nature and I actually view the world in terms of
how nature works.
6. Technology. I'm a techie, thats all there is to it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The meaning of life, the universe and everything.
More specifically, the nature of God, the nature of Universe, why
do we exist, what are we in relation to the Universe, what is
beyond the universe.
Nothing like filling your mind with philosophical questions to give
one insomnia.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home with family and friends, watching a good movie and eating a
good pizza.
