My self-summary
I'm looking for honest, vulnerable, no bullshit heart connection. (thank you, Jeff Foster)

You see yourself as extraordinary...sometimes, and I see myself as magnificent...sometimes...In any event, if we let fear or insecurity move us to living small for even a minute, we become extremely uncomfortable, because we know in our innermost Being that we are meant to LIVE LOVE. And that is big, messy, heart-opening stuff!

I am confident, happy, open, sensual. I love to laugh and make you laugh. I’m gentle too, and thoughtful, spiritual. I smile easily and often. I’m curious about “what it’s all about” – can get happily lost in meandering conversations…I have strong opinions, but also listen with an open ear (and heart). And you are strong, confident, and competent...right there with me.

I am drawn to water and trees —love to wander through the woods…or sit by a mountain lake. I love writing (or reading) that one good sentence, the first cup of coffee, the thrill of connecting with a friend, an idea, a walk in the woods, sharing a crossword puzzle, listening to jazz in the park, enjoying a cocktail in the early evening, riding the train to NYC, exploring Boston, movies, comedy clubs, the summer sun on my skin, porch sitting, holding hands, that kiss, the second kiss, the one after that… listening to music….like the softer rock (Dominic Miller, Sting, One Republic, Cold Play), Bruce Springsteen, Jeff Pitchell, contemporary Country (Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts), meditation music (Michael Whalen’s My Secret Heart), Puccini arias.

My happiness depends on me. So you're off the hook. Just sayin'.

And love? I'd like to be in love. I think I'd be good at it.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a financial analyst by day, am studying for a retirement career in counseling psychology by night, and am also enrolled in a certification course to practice Therapeutic Breathwork. It seems there isn't enough time in the day to do it all, like add a relationship to all this. Except there is something I’ve learned about time in recent years. It opens up when we are “in the zone,” so to speak. And I know, too, that I am open to finding a love that’s true and spectacular. And know about miracles.
I’m really good at
looking through rose-colored glasses.
The first things people usually notice about me
The glow... a smile... that you matter
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - The Outlander, A Prayer for Owen Meany, A Return to Love, Sacred Sexuality, anything by Abraham-Hicks, the Seth books
Movies - August Rush, The Legend of Bagger Vance, Always, American Beauty, Crash, Sliding Doors, Love Actually
Food - Real pizza, Indian, Thai, Mexican, Bacon
Music - Vienna Teng, Pearl Jam, Snow Patrol, Rascal Flatts, Fields of Gold, Streets of Philadelphia, Secret Garden, Say, Human, arias, Damien Rice (at least that one song). Um, I wake up to country music...
The six things I could never do without
There is nothing I could never do without, having learned that upon having once lost the only thing I loved at all. Now there's a story. But I know what you're really asking: I love my music, roses, things that sparkle, sensuality, someone to chatter to (with!), laughing and playing, meditation, Rumi. Maybe you.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
falling in love. Not just with you, but with my friends and family and the dew on those asparagus ferns as the sun is rising.
On a typical Friday night I am
wondering if I'll ever have a typical Friday night, and hoping the answer is never, being fond of surprises.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love falling in love. Even the heartbreaking parts of it. Because I have a dream--that someday the love will keep growing instead of stopping. Actually, it doesn't stop at all, if I'm paying attention. It all leads to you and me. And I believe in that. Just like a teenager. With that innocence. With that divinity.

That, and I kinda sit on my cell phone while driving. So I'll know if a call comes through. From the vibration. [Update: Well, I used to. There are some things Smartphones don't do as well!!!]

You are confident and competent, and also know that life is supposed to be fun.
