My Self-Summary

I am me, and am not going to pretend to be anything I am not! I love to travel, and try to get out of the country at least once a year. One of my goals is to see all the 50 states, all of western Europe, and all the continents. I am actually doing quite well on this goal, but still have a lot of places I would like to see. I am active and energetic, and like to try new and exciting things like skydiving, bungee jumping, volcano and mountain climbing, swimming with sharks, etc. (and for those of you who are wondering, yes, I have done all these things). These are the kinds of adventurous things I like to try; sadly I do not get to do them nearly as much now that I have joined the real world. I enjoy sports, but am not always very good at them. I may be busy, but I always make sure that I am having fun as well. I make time for the things that are important to me.

What I’m doing with my life

I am currently the Support Supervisor of the extended medical care unit at a children's hospital for kids with special needs, but am going to be transitioning to behavioral care services in the next few months. I also work as a massage therapist and assistant clinic manager at a chiropractic clinic. I will continue to work in the medical field and with the special needs population, but I am now back in school again for nursing. I am singing in the South Dakota Symphony chorus as a first soprano, and am loving every minute of it. I am active in my church, sing in the choir, and play in the handbell choir. (Yes, I am a total nerd at times, and am proud of it!) And then in all my spare time I am trying to turn my house into a home, and hope to finish my basement in the somewhat near future.

I’m really good at

I am good at helping people. I love to sing, dance, and play music (piano, bells, horn). I like to make people smile and laugh. I like to make up quotes as well. My favorites: If you don't have a past, you've never lived; if you don't have a future, you never will! I am out to change the world, one heart at a time!

I hope it is my Smile and my personality, but I am not the one noticing me! So, those of you that do...feel free to let me know.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: I love to read, and my favorite book is the Bible, but I also like the classics. Some of the other author that I like are C.S. Lewis, Michael Crichten, John Grisham, Dan Brown and others. Mostly mystery and suspense.
Movies: The Shawshank Redemption, Saved, The Princess Bride, Ocean's 11, Schilndler's list, Pay it Forward...again there are too many to try to list.
Music: I like all kinds of music, but am not much of a fan of vulger rap, and really twangy country. (I will give anything a chance)
Food: I don't eat much red meat. I love fruits,veggies,grilled chicken, kabobs, veggie lasagna, Thai, Indian, pasta, and all kinds of soups.
