I'm a geek but I also manage to integrate into the society of the "normals". I think my role is some sort of emissary. If you don't understand something about my interests then I'm happy to give an introduction. There would be no pressure in a relationship to adopt my admittedly unusual tastes in hobbies or interests but I would be delighted to share something I love with someone who is curious.
If you're ever not sure how to approach a conversation with me then simply ask what I'm reading at the moment.
I play computer games and role-playing games with my friends. I also have a growing interest in more casual boardgames and party games and would be keen on playing more of them. If you're a non-geek but want to dip your toe into the waters then my interest in less-imposing forms of fun might be something we could explore together.
I think that I'm quite an emotionally mature person and I'm quite proud of how easily I empathise. I don't really believe in absolute morals but I try and act according to some well-scrutinised personal sense of good. I think that "Don't be a dick" is a brilliantly simple commandment that we could all live by.
I love people and think that we manage to pull off some impressive shit. We're also capable of screwing up spectacularly. If I weren't an atheist then I'd feel sorry for god sitting up there watching in disbelief as we ran about doing all the craziness that mankind tends towards.
Following on from my strongly positive feelings about communities, I'm a bit of a leftie but I have a distrust of traditional politics and tend to spent a lot of time proposing ways of organising people to common goals.
I'm a romantic and love to love.
Sexually, I like to be open and honest. I'm sex-positive and thrive in a equal dynamic where it's all about sharing an experience. Sex is something to be enjoyed and exploring it with someone you love is an incredible thing. I think that poor communication about sex can often be an issue in relationships and so would counter that with openness. Another way of seeing this is that I'm somewhat uninhibited, sexually and like to try new things but I'm not going to be imposingly kinky.
I have an active imagination and often imagine worlds which I would love to bring to life with some manner of creativity. This is something that I'd like to push myself to do and a prospective partner who was creative might get a kick out of guiding me through this or watching me bloom.
I'm a member of the London Hackspace although I'm not incredibly active. I'd like to bring my professional computer skills to bare on some interesting projects. Dancing robots or a talking toaster... or something.
I have a cat, Sammy, he's great. I fostered him for a while just so that he didn't have to live in a cage and then had to adopt him when he became family. I suppose that he shouldn't factor in any decision about me but just in case you hate cats, I'd better warn you. I'd not like to use him as a lure for women but he is very soft and you can pet him :P The main reason that I mention him is that he's currently getting jealous of my laptop and is attempting to bulldoze it off of my lap.
