Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I just moved to Austin to start my PhD at UT. This isn't the path I
always saw myself taking...it has exceeded even my own
expectations. Following your dreams is awesome and I'm proud to say
that's exactly what I'm doing.
I'm a Midwestern bonfire and jeans kind of girl, but that doesn't
mean I'm conservative - I'm actually quite liberal. I've got a few
tattoos and I want more. I've also got two crazy cats.
I am very close to my family. They mean the world to me. I'm a
loyal person and if I consider you family, you will always have me
there to back you up.
I love sports! I played tennis in undergrad and high school, and
was an assistant tennis coach while I was teaching. I covered high
school football and wrestling for a news company back in Indiana.
They are two of my favorite sports. I also love going to hockey
games! I slowly became enamored with baseball after living in DC -
Go Nats! I also love snowboarding and soccer.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am starting my PhD in Journalism at UT after graduating with a
masters degree in Communication, Culture & Technology from
Georgetown University in 2014. I moved back home to Indiana for a
year where I was the editor of a small newspaper and eventually
started teaching high school English.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I like to think I am good at photography (bonus points if you
loooove being in a dark room), dancing like an idiot, taking care
of my cats, being a friend, helping others in their times of need,
laughing at myself (because I tell corny jokes which usually do not
garner laughter) and losing things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think people notice how friendly I am. I don't think I have ever
met a stranger! I am also a fairly obvious enfj...if that means
anything to you.
Also, apparently the people who read my profile like my smile...not
sure if this is just a generic compliment or something people
really do notice.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future, what can I do to help people, how are my students
doing, homework, what I should be doing, food, etc...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I just moved out here, so I'm not sure yet. If it is football
season, I'm bound to be somewhere watching a game. I love keeping
it low key with my friends.
