I am one, rockem-sockem, and robot.

My Self-Summary

I believe in love, kindness, generosity, and empathy. These are the guiding principles in my life, the only absolutes that I know.

I just moved to Albuquerque and so far I LOVE it here!

I am a very grounded person who doesn't take much of anything seriously - besides the practices I listed above. I know who I am and where I am going, and that is enough for me.

When it comes to making new friends the truth is that I'm a lady, old-fashioned . . . fine, I'm SHY. I will probably never write to you first, being restricted by a combination of ideals and a lack of balls.

If, for some strange reason, I do actually send an email your way, I will probably do my best to sound like a complete moron. Reward me by telling me as much.

What I’m doing with my life

I am involved in a passionate, wild romance with our planet. I try to be as eco-friendly as I can within realistic parameters.

I'm a starving artist with several projects in the mix. I live my life in devotion to my artistic pursuits, in service of my spirituality.

I’m really good at

doing things that are fun. I have been told many times that I am also good at making myself do things that are not fun, but I didn't notice - because it was NOT FUN.

Some of my mad skills are as follows: I read for hours at a time and I love to learn new things. I'm really big on fiber arts, especially crocheting. I do big pieces with different mediums as wall, floor, and wearable art. I also paint, sing, dance, model, write and act. I meditate and practice hatha and tantric yoga every day. Also, while I am rarely satisfied with my cooking I get rave reviews from whomever I serve.

I have very powerful hands. I can see the connections between anything. Anything that isn't numerical, that is.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm sure it depends on their individual value system.

Several people have told me lately that I'm easy to talk to. That makes me feel swell.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'm always reading several books on Sumerian culture and poetry. I usually tend to read a lot of short fiction as well. I agree with Poe that it's the most complete art form. I could pontificate about loving the classics and brag about the fact that I'm reading Camus, but who gives a fuck? I'll just go ahead and lay claim to Stephen King.

I love movies, but am really super picky about them. Death to Smoochy, May, Fight Club, Repulsion, Blade Runner, The Hunger, The Last Unicorn, Strictly Sexual, and Clue are among my all-time favorites. I like Chinese and Japanese horror movies - they're so much more honest than ours. My favorites are the kind that make me scream in disgust but do some thinking at the same time. I really dig making fun of David Lynch, Roman Polanski, and Ingmar Bergman movies and people who get lofty about them. And have you seen High Anxiety? I mean, nobody will admit what a genius Mel Brooks is.

I am my favorite musician. I am a singer (coloratura soprano) and I also play the piano and random surfaces. My favorite styles to perform are rock, punk, and blues.

For my own personal listening I stick mostly with: Aerosmith, Aqualung, Barenaked Ladies, Depeche Mode, Doves, The Doors, Duran Duran, Johnny Cash, Coldplay, Concrete Blonde, CCR, Cowboy Junkies, The Clash, The Cure, Foo Fighters, Katie Jane Garside, Heavy Trash, Billie Holiday, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Joy Division, Jude, K's Choice, Keane, The Killers, EARLY Kings of Leon, Metallica, Muse, New Order, New York Dolls, Buck Owens, Iggy Pop and The Stooges, The Prodigy, The Rolling Stones, Sex Pistols, Smashing Pumpkins, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and of course - Van Halen

I've been a fairly steady vegetarian for seven years now. However, when sharing a meal with others I'm not too picky - if it doesn't have a face I'll eat it and if it died with dignity I'll cook it. I try to eat according to my ayurvedic body type, which is how I became a veggie in the first place.

The six things I could never do without

1. My spirituality. I practice a mixture of traditional pagan practices. My spiritual life is more present for me than my physical one.

2. My dogs Rosie and Cyrus; my cats Boo Radley and Mel Gibson; and my rad roommates one of whom is RangerRuss.

3. Good books

4. Music

5. Some of the experiences I've had this last year. I've been learning about death. No, it was not fun, but you should still try it.

6. Love and sex, especially when combined.

7. Squalane

14. a calculator/someone to do my counting for me

H. Non-linear thinking

I spend a lot of time thinking about

life, love, and the mysteries of the Universe. What the hell I'm supposed to be doing with it all. Why so many people don't know what they want.

I daydream about chocolate. Well, that and sex.

On a typical Friday night I am

It depends on how my week has gone.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

is that I don't date. It's bad for my sanity.

Also, I am extremely self-disciplined. I find people who do not take care of their mind/body/spirit extremely unattractive.

You should message me if

you feel like showing a girl around ABQ. I tend to gravitate towards people who are intelligent and polite, have a strong heart, and are authentically self-confident. That last one's a biggie.

If you love art and beauty, and if you think that we are here to explore our best function for the universe hit me up. I love to make new friends and am always looking to expand my horizons.

It is a sad testimony to the state of things that I have to post the following: If you are obnoxious, I will not talk to you. It should go without saying, but obviously some boys' mammas didn't raise them right.
