I must say ~
That I have had some amazing luck lately with this site.
I think the dating thing is screwy anyway, so I use this site to make friends. Since moving here to Alb, I've managed to meet some really awesome people that I found originally on OKC.
Thanks for chatting with me, ya'll. It so nice to know that conversation is not a lost art, people of character do exist, and a goofy girl like me can make some real relationships come out of a goofy dating site.
luv,
Kate
Jerks
I would really like to know what kind of an asshole would feel the need, upon viewing my goofy picture of myself as a dude, to FLAG it for removal!
I had that great picture up here of myself that I tweaked out on Yearbook Yourself. It was a great gag. Whoever you are, you anal-retentive loser, you have no sense of humor. Learn to mind your own business.
But thank you for sparing me an email, because you are absolutely the sort of person that I go to great lengths to avoid.
grrrrr,
Kate the Great

Success
I am really getting pumped about moving to Albuquerque. The landlord that we found is kind and considerate, and willing to work with us in the timeframe that we require - not to mention the fact that we aren't even paying a pet deposit. Between the three of us humans we have quite the menagerie following us around.
Other than the views from the house, which are incredible, I think the thing I'm most excited about is the pool table in the gameroom. I've gotten really rusty over the last couple of years but I seriously love to shoot pool. Back in highschool and my early 20s I would hustle suckers who'd take one look at me and go, there's no way SHE can play worth anything. Of course, back then I hustled for alcohol, so now I'll have to think of something better to bet for.
Another great thing about this house is the location. It's in a canyon at the foot of the Sandias, on five acres right next to the National Park. There's a trail from my yard going into the wilderness, and I plan on going exploring every day. But then it's only a five minute drive into the city, fifteen minutes to hit downtown. Perfect combination of rural living plus city accessibility, and I'm stoked.
I'm going to miss the weather of Pecos, and of course the pine forests and having the river so accessible. But I'll make good friends with the Rio Grande, I'm sure.
Can't wait to immerse myself in you, Albuquerque. This has been something I've been working towards for two decades.
Everything Zen
I can't understand why my coyote/basenji pup keeps jumping out the living room window. Maybe the answer's in the question . . . ~Kat
