I am inherently, positively inert, and ignominious.

Is my
twin
flame,
life's partner here at
OkC?
Used to make derisive fun of dating sites, ever since one placed a
personal ad in the paper (remember that?!?) and until I joined this
site (because it is free).
Have stayed because of the tests, the quality of people here, and
that I have met and dated a few guys from here.
Th-12/06/06 adding the results of the awesome Kittycat Personality
Test. This succintly says more about me than many other tests here
at OkC. Sooo, here it is....
"I'm a TabbyCat, The Most Balanced of All Cats. I'm a sometimes
social, a bit crazy, & an all around laid back kitty. I may
seem t/b part of the crowd, but anyone who gets to know me realizes
that I am my own person." ME-OW...purrr ~
Renaissance woman, artistic,
quaker universalist baby boomer bookworm ~
am re-engaging with my adolescent passions of social activism,
writing, painting, spiritual seeking.
Sun sign Aquarius, Rising Sign Gemini ~ Typical airheaded (four
house!!) Aquarian who believes that the Age of Aquairius is finally
dawning in spite of the madness of the past several decades. I do
not however, consider myself a New-Ager, but am most definitely an
Indigo
Child.
(In that essential facts that OkC gives us, who ever heard of
'owning a cat'? Dogs can be 'owned' ~ yeh, but cats deign to live
with humans!)
Cat-like curiosity, living all nine lives simultaneously ~
everything intrigues me, but lose interest quickly. Have head in
clouds and feet firmly planted on mother earth, and my forte is
zinging you with intuitive flashes of Truth (whether you will or
no!).
What I’m doing with my life
As I said re-engaging with my adolescent passions of social
activism, writing, painting, and spiritual seeking.
Altho' not a member, I have been an active attender for most of my
adult life in Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). Just not a
joiner, and I figure Spirit knows who and what I am. (Update;
applied for membership 10/22/07)
Since Friends like to say that Quakers abolished the laity, we do
stuff by committee...which has been a real learning curve for
me...I'm a one-on-one person by nature...and this committee work is
alot like herding cats. (My fav new expression)
Unnprogrammed liberal Friends have no paid ministers, creeds, or
rituals and our core testimony is that Spirit/God is experienced
directly, there is that of God in everyone and I would add
everthing since I'm of the universalist persuasion) and that the
Divine Realm is right here on Earth.
Curious about whom I truly am? My other virtual hangout is ~
http://my.care2.com/katkent. My opposite coast fellow aquarian OkC
friend Chuque (see my comments) calls the called c2 'myspace for
grown-ups'.
Am trying to update my profile, have been here at OkC for a year
and a while, and am always frustrated with the interface, just
trying to add words now, so it'll accept the changes.
I remember that it took me nearly a week to upload my pix when I
first joined, frustrated w/ that and the changes here. But I do
like that we can check out who is 'stalking' us.
I’m really good at
Reading, 1on1 Interaction, Beach Bumming, Road Trips, Thinking,
Armchair/Virtual/Astral Travelling, Snarky thoughts, which
occasionally are OutLoud, much to my chagrin
however, am not good at the 'group thing'
~ ya know, the whole 'herding cats' analogy ~ consider myself 1st
& foremost a cat person ~ someone who is totally
individual
(some of nicknames I've been given over the years ~ Kat, Kattitude,
KittyKat; well you get the picture!)
Relating to: That Which Is, domestic pets, wild animals, nature, or
friends, family and random strangers; on an individual basis.
that cat herding thang again, ya know?
am working on the skill-set 'gets along well in groups', lol
The first things people usually notice about me
1. Crowning glory ~ Thick Wavy Chesnut Colored Hair
2. Nose stuck in a book ~ why is that a conversation starter?
3. Men notice my physical looks ~ Women my style sense ~ Kids an
earth mother thing ~
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
A. Books, just books, I'm a voracious reader ~ everything EXCEPT
technical journals, sci-fi/fantasy (well, I liked Fahrenheit 451,
The Hobbit, or There & Back Again, & Lord of the Rings
Trilogy)
B. Chick Flicks ~ Crush, Legally Blonde, Bend It Like Beckham, My
Big Fat Greek Wedding, Pretty Woman & My Best Friend's Wedding
(I adore Julia as a redhead!) Sleepless in Seattle & You've Got
Mail ~
Comedy ~ Wayne's World, Austin Powers (Mike Myers, yeh), Monty
Python, Blazing Saddles, Some Like It Hot, Grumpy Old Men, Charlie
Chaplin, Shakespeare in Love
Classics ~ The Big Chill, The Graduate, Forrest Gump, Bringing Up
Baby,Adam's Rib,(anything Kate Hepburn), Breakfast at
Tiffany's(anything Audrey Hepburn), Arsenic & Old Lace, To Kill
a Mockingbird, Gone With The Wind, Midnight Cowboy, To Have and
Have Not (anything Lauren Bacall)
Action/Adventure ~ Pirates of the Carribean & Hidalgo (love
Johnny Depp & Viggo Mortenssen ~ oh yeah definitely eye candy,
also good actors & intriguing people in real life) Braveheart (
tho the graphic violence freaks me out) The new King Kong was
pretty good too
Musical Flix ~ Caberet, My Fair Lady, Woodstock, The Doors, Hello
Dolly
C. Music ~ easier to tell what I dislike: anything hardcore ~
gansta (c)rap, serioso opera, way spaced new age & cry in beer
country.
D. Food ~ Everything fresh/in season prepared with love and eaten
in good company ~ garlic rules!
The six things I could never do without
I've had my ups & downs in life & know that material things
(beyond adequate food clothing shelter) are not essential to
anyone's well-being ~
I'll just have to say ~ Love, Love, Love, Love, Love, Love
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend too much time thinking. About. Everything.
"The world is a comedy to those who think, and a tragedy to those
who feel." - Horace Walpole
But one of my fav posters on my wall when I was a college kid was
in primary colors, a tall stool, with this expression written in
childish printing along side it ~
"Sometimes I sets and thinks, and sometimes I just sets." yeh, that
oxymoronic
Gemini ascendant thing goin on, ya know? "just setting" was more
commonly called 'zoning' or 'spacing out'
"Here on the margin of the world I sit and think; 'til Love and
Fame to nothingness do shrink." umm, John Donne, I think.

On a typical Friday night I am
What's a Typical Friday Night? I'm into spontaneity, and do not
like routines, especially in leisure time ~ like to try new things
~ get bored w/ the same old-same old.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
NOT A THING!!! am private & reserved unless I feel close to you
one-on-one (email, 'phone, in person, snail mail) then I'm very
open ~
A while back, I came across s/o in the OkC communitty who
complained that we should say something here to reveal something of
ourselves...
and I engaged in a dialogue ~
his rationale made perfect sense to me, just something silly,
enlightening, and most private that we are willing to admit.
F'instance, he has 50 model airplane kits that he has yet to
build.
So, for right now here's my most private thing ~
I acquired a tan this summer, first time in 23 years that I haven't
used sunblock on my naturally fair skin....now, isn't that a
shockingly scandalous private thing?!?!??
Soooo, Gentle Reader, if you've come this far I am willing to
divulge these two facts ~
1) my given name is Kathleen
2) I've had 4 husbands and 2 live-in lovers. (sequentially, see
conversation/thought box above thumbnail)
You should message me if
you dare ... oh, come on 'just do it'
