Now for some of the basics - I have decided to return to college and am enrolled part-time. I have 2 part-time jobs - one is a work from home position for a non-profit. I tend to be busy, but fun CAN be scheduled if you are patient. I hold my State-Certified Real Estate Appraiser's license, although I am not active in that field anymore.
I love doing fun things - laser tag, horseback riding, theme parks, travel, bowling.
I spend time with my daughter doing all the fun things listed above. At home we watch her favorite shows, mostly so I can keep up with her. We like watching Burn Notice, and have enjoyed the spy theme - Reds, Knight and Day, Killers. My movies tend to be either Disney type flicks, comedy or action movies. But there's a caveat - it must have a happy ending!
I love to travel as much as I can. Lately, I can be found enjoying the beauty of the Smoky Mountains. Some of the places I have been include Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, Washington DC and the Biltmore Mansion. But I also like technology and have been to the Smithsonian as well as the Kennedy Space Center, and have toured the Naval vessels open to the public. So, if I can learn something, and have a great time doing it, I'm there.
I do historical recreation as a hobby. I do some costuming for fun - historical, anime, comic book. I am also active with several fraternal organizations and I support my daughter's participation by being a volunteer adult advisor.
I'm more interested in hockey over any other sport. I have been seen at Lightning games and was living in Dallas when the Stars took the Stanley Cup.
I like a wide variety of music (but not rap).
I like holding hands and being affectionate. A little bit of romance without going overboard.
While I have embraced many of today's ideas regarding relationships, I'm still a bit old-fashioned. I'm still looking for the right soulmate, partner, lover, friend and pillar of strength. Someone who's self-assured without being arrogant, thoughtful, considerate, loving, and who doesn't mind a strong partner.
