I'm very fit and energetic, stable and sexy, intelligent and a young-54 (actually feel at least 10 years younger), down to earth and a widowed parent for 9 years.

I'm looking for a man who knows how to treat a woman nicely! Preferably a parent too, someone who can be friends before jumping in. If we do end up connecting, I see us exclusively sharing a wide range of activities, from dining out to hikes, and ultimately building a rewarding life together.

I love living in Seattle, having grown up in the Midwest! Such a fantastic variety of things to do, from city life to outdoors. Many incredible hikes and places for weekend getaways (tho haven't done that in ages); it's a fabulous life in the Pacific Northwest!

Raising my teen as a widowed parent, creating a stable home: gym daily (love Zumba/dance), working as a PT pre-school teacher, reading, volunteering, hiking, and taking care of my home filled with too many animals!

Like theatre but don't get the opportunity as much as I'd like.

Don't watch much TV, a bit of Bill Maher with my teen. The few TV shows I do like, I rent on Netflix.

Like live music, tho haven't been forever it seems. Favorites range from coldplay to moody blues, grateful dead to john mayer....

Like all types of healthy eating and ethnic foods, esp thai, indian, sushi and seafood. Enjoy dining out but also love a good home cooked healthy meal.

Hmmm, since I've actually survived the death of my hubby at a young age for both of us, I'll write everything (excluding the 1st) with a grain of salt:

1. My teen: who is actually enjoyable and pleasant to be with! That bird flies in 3 years; yet I could never do without the love and joy.

2. The outdoors: which includes mountains, lakes, and my back yard which I've nurtured for over 23 years.

3. Friends: I've a small long time circle scattered around the West, alas none live nearby.

4. The gym: I do live for my weekday work outs! I love Zumba, but find the whole AM routine key to my well-being.

5. Books! I am always reading something, learning doesn't just happen in a classroom, for me it's through a variety of novels.

6. My home: it's my oasis and central to me after 23 years. I can even see the mountains from the corner of 2 rooms!

The earth, how to help others, living within a budget, making the most out of life, being grateful for being healthy....

Cooking a special TGIF dinner with a glass of red wine as a treat. Then walking the dog (no he walks me!) for extra long and even taking in Mt Rainier on some days.

Not until we're friends and know each other better.
