My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a good person…a good friend, teacher, sister, daughter, and partner. I find myself smiling often from the little moments: a student’s comment in class that shows that he learned something about life, a walk down town with good music, sunshine, and strangers, a circles of great friends late at night.

I love teaching everyday and feel like I am making a difference in the world (some days more than others). I would love someone else who is passionate about something, feeling like he makes a difference somehow, whether through his career or not.

I enjoy living in the Boston area and try to take in all that the city has to offer from coffee shops and concerts to parks, galleries, yoga, and farmer’s markets to games, dives, and outdoor drinking. I love Somerville/Cambridge, especially, but I do take it all in.

I strive for balance in my life and am doing well with it…stimulation & relaxation., dedication & detachment, family and friends. I am ready for a relationship with someone to share myself with, to learn from and with, etc…but am up for meeting with and talking to good people along the way.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Teaching English...Just finished 5 years of teaching 8th grade and will be teaching 9th & 10th grade English in the fall. I love teaching teenagers everyday, especially in the subject of English. To read amazing literature, learn about life lessons and yourself, and find the ability to express yourself through the written word are all such important life skills. I'm very happy and thankful that I love going to work everyday. It's time consuming, but I try to balance work with "me" time.

Books: Love contemporary literature when i have the time, but am pretty devoted to the classics I teach: To Kill a Mockingbird, 1984 & The Giver, Catch 22, Color Purple, Candide, The Sun Also Rises, Walden, Waiting for Godot, Man's Search for Meaning....Poetry*

Shows: TV: Friday Night Lights, Modern Family, Mindy Project, 30 Rock, Arrested Development, Colbert, Curb, Sex and The City, and It's Always Sunny.

Music: my first concert at age 10 (Dylan) and my musical family has made me quite passionate about music. I can listen to Dylan, Beatles, Paul Simon any day of the week. Also love some indie artists: Ryan Adams, Iron & Wine, Lord Huron, Sufjan Stevens, Avett Brothers, Tallest Man on Earth, Beirut, Dawes, Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, Head and the Heart, National.

Food: I enjoy experimenting with eating and cooking all foods. Love trying new places...although, the Thai restaurant at the end of my street is my home away from home.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The present.

I have a bad memory but when people ignite past memories it's great
and I think of the future occasionally ... but the present is where it's at.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Starting off a way too early happy hour with teacher friends .....
then either meeting friends out later or staying in to food, wine, and netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
