Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a big fan of ongoing education and exploration. This covers a
lot of bases in my personality. I guess there's just too much in
this world and it's all so exciting, how could I ever say I was
I'm a complete geek for the things I love: light, comics, running,
theatre, obstacle courses, sci-fi, poetry, baking, and cartoons.
I've been doing improv since age 12, so I'm definitely one for
banter and a good giggle. I like someone who can get on the same
page with me and keep the bit rolling.
I believe life is a big game of Calvinball. You in?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I design the lights for dance, theatre, opera, and mostly events.
Between work and studying VFX online, I keep a pretty packed
schedule. The hours are long and weird but I dig it.
I'd also quite like to be a superhero should the need arise, so I'm
always trying to stay active. Running, yoga, burpees, and always
training for the next Spartan race.
Above all, I just want to be a source of good in the world.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Retaining information that I will never, ever need.
Picking out Christmas presents.
Flower arranging. I use a mallet.
Obscure references to classic British comedy.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my eyes. Definitely my height.

Books: Lots. I reread my favorites over and over again and I can
never leave a book behind. I'm a sucker for a well-written poem as
I used to read voraciously but it's fallen by the wayside a bit.
It's an ongoing resolution to take more time to enjoy a book with a
cup of tea or a glass of lemonade, and then who shall say I am not
the happy genius of my household?
Movies: Pixar, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Monty Python
(memorized), Mel Brooks, Marvel, all Batmans, the Rocketeer,
Miyazaki, Princess Bride, Zombieland. The list continues! I'm
really excited about just about any movie. I even like the not so
good ones, provided they're rifftrax...'ed?
TV: Doctor Who, Firefly, Parks and Rec, Community, Game of Thrones,
Monty Python, Batman: The Animated Series
(Are you tired of lists yet?)
Foo Fighters, Flight of the Conchords, Flogging Molly, Imagine

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I could do without a lot of things, I suppose. I'm fairly

I guess that's only five...let's just add pineapple for good

a pineapple bush. And for that island to be Kauai, if I get to pick

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
My schedule doesn't always let my Friday be on a Friday, but for
the most part, I like staying in, going on a run, watching a
lecture, and thinking about how much I enjoy the Oxford
Not opposed to going out either, there's just so many
people out there and I genuinely dislike clubs. My
interest in other people is directly proportional to how much I can
hear them. If I can't hear you, how can we talk? I only know a few
words of sign language and I can't keep saying "I'm sorry. I don't
know. My turtle pooped?" It will get old.

-you can find the bright side of life.
-you're up for talking nerdy.
-you commit to the bit.
-your idea of a romantic night spot and an impenetrable fortress

-you like doing things on dates. That sounds obvious but I'm much
more comfortable walking around, cooking, or enjoying some activity
other than sitting and watching each other eat.
