I am open-minded, passionate, and funny.

My Self-Summary

I describe myself as funny, but you may find that statement VERY biased... I'm usually the one laughing hardest at myself. Also my humor is quite sarcastic in nature. I can't help it, it's genetic.

Generally my view on life is that it is an adventure and I want to get the most out of it. I do well with change and am quite adaptable. Over the last five years I have lived in four different states and plan to keep on exploring.

My serious side is passionate about social justice, equality, advocay, community involvement and environmental responsiblity. My less serious side is passionate about laughing until my stomach hurts, sugar, music, and traveling.

I am not one of those people that can produce a list hobbies because I enjoy sharing things with others whether it be a film, a concert, a bottle of wine, and/or great conversation. As I get older I find that I am getting more open to trying new things.

What I’m doing with my life

I am currently in my second, and final year of graduate school for Social Work. After graduation in the spring of 2010 I PLAN on moving abroad to practice international social work.

I’m really good at

sleeping in, eating, procrastinating, and conversing.

The first things people usually notice about me

Well, I'm not really sure. If I had to guess I would say my smile. I had three years of braces to thank for that.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I really hate this type of question. I find it difficult to narrow down anything into a list that is even somewhat representative of my taste. Therefore, I will list what comes to mind and you won't judge me or form opinions because the list is neither comprehensive nor completely representative of me.
BOOKS: Yellow Raft in Blue Water, She's Come Undone, The Story of Marriage, The Confessions of Max Tivoli, The Good Earth, and Summer Sisters. I also enjoy when my Rolling Stone and Paste magazines arrive.
MOVIES: Me You and Everyone We Know, Amelie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Neverending Story, Shopgirl, Pride and Prejudice, Pretty in Pink, Garden State, The Darjeeling Limited, Some Kind of Wonderful, The Departed, Hot Fuzz, Spaceballs, Slumdog Millionaire, The Princess Bride, and more.
MUSIC: Phoenix, Counting Crows, MIA, Vampire Weekend, Junior Boys, Gossip, Razorlight, Santigold, Avett Brothers, Amos Lee, MGMT, Patty Griffin, Of Montreal, The Raconteurs, Kate Nash, Cold War Kids, Ryan Adams, Josh Rouse, Black Keys, Jonah Smith, White Lies, Hot Chip, Bon Iver, Kings of Leon, Bob Schneider, JJ Cale, and more.
FOOD: I think it would be easier to say what I don't like: celery, super spicy food (I am a wimp), and fast food. Also I pay a lot of (some may say too much) attention to what I put in my body and where it came from. I learned a lot from reading The Omnivore's Dilemma and watching Food Inc.

The six things I could never do without

1. Chapstick
2. Water
3. People
4. Cell Phone
5. Camera
6. Sweets

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Food; the options are endless. I love planning out my shopping list, grocery shopping, and cooking.

On a typical Friday night I am

Well I don't really have a typical Friday night. I could be watching a movie in bed, out to dinner, hanging out with friends, with my sister, or at home doing homework.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have a celebrity addiction. I'm talking EOnline, US Magazine, and People Magazine.

You should message me if

you want to. Also if you have the urge to "wink" at me please message me instead. For some reason it kinda creeps me out.
