Well I've never joined any of these sites before, so I'm pretty curious as to what the outcome will be. Born and raised in NY, but I've lived in Manhattan for three years and I love it. I'm very passionate about the things I believe in and about life in general. I can be shy at first, but once I warm up I'm an open book. I'm extremely expressive. It's really hard to hide how I feel because it's always written on my face, which I find has both its negative and positive sides.

Last weekend I went to this bar with a few friends and noticed the crop of dudes in there. All of them had the same haircut, same striped button-down shirt, all chugging the same 3$ happy hour beers. None of them struck my fancy, and I feel like I've met this same breed of male a hundred times over in my almost-25 years. I've been single for over a year and although I've enjoyed myself, I guess I'm looking for a relationship if I find the right guy.So basically, I'm looking for that one guy in the crowd that stands out, isn't full of himself and isn't a man-child.

UPDATE: So I guess this site did it's job, met a great guy :)

I have a bachelor's degree in child development, but started a career in advertising production and sales. I'm not sure if this is something I will stay with. I spend a lot of time with my family and friends, though I like to have alone time as well. My life would suck without books or music. I'm growing very antsy and want to travel more. I'm starting to learn how to cook, and I think this is making my Nana happy.

Writing, organizing, making people laugh, conversation, taking pictures, hugging, darts, remembering birthdays, catching the subway before the doors close (relax, i don't pry the door open and delay the train)

I read A LOT. My favorite authors are David Sedaris, Augusten Burroughs, Arthur Nersersian and Chuck Klosterman. I love fiction, but I also love biographies on people who mess up in life and overcome adversity. Oh yes, I also read all the Twilight books and loved them. Stop laughing.

My favorite movie has always been Dazed and Confused but I also love Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Big Fish, The Wackness, The Departed, Silence of the Lambs, The Big Lebowski, Good Fellas, The Notebook, Across the Universe, Office Space, Ghost World, and Superbad.

TV: The Office, Mad Men, True Blood, Weeds, Sopranos, Dexter, How I Met Your Mother, Arrested Development, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Flight of the Conchords

In terms of music, I'd say the majority of it is all things rock. Here's a little list for you:

The past, present, and future. I am very nostalgic, I love dreaming and making plans and goals for myself, and I like to make ish happen. I also wonder why all the women in the Plan B commercial wake up alone.
