Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Really doesn't matter what I put here. If you are half the woman I
think you to be, you will reach your own summary . I will just
throw in a couple of things which I believe are pertinent.
I have inherited a major imbalance between chronological age and
biological age ..... best thing my parents ever gave me. When I was
younger this led to a Peter Pan Syndrome .... I have thankfully
My mind revels in complexity and plasticity.
My body revels in challenge and activity.
My spirit revels in the shimmer of the ineluctable on the surface
of the implacable.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Continuously avoiding definition. I thrive on fluidity and for my
next challenge. My "self" is a work in progress, I hope yours is
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Am I good at anything ? I have designed and personally built 2
houses - restored and love sailing my 1920's classic yacht - I
teach and practice photography - I have been a pro most of my
My new gig is a community service organisation that I am building
from the ground up and I love it.
I am a relentless auto-didact however so I am pre-disposed to
self-delusion..... But!....I still get things done.
AH! just thought of something ! I am good at having mind
challenging conversations with women who may well have a higher IQ
than myself without getting defensive.
And I am a good 'boy scout'...I like to think I am always prepared.
Ok,Ok !!!...might be that delusional thang again!

I am a voracious omnivorous reader. I draw the line at
Movies - hell - I watch any thing that peels back the layers on the
human condition — 'Lynch' is a standout — but it goes right back to
seeing my very first movie as a child — 'Nosferatu' 1922 Dir.
F.W.Murnau...... AND I just like to be entertained !
Food - well I like it — cooking it — eating it — reading about it
even. I like any cuisine — done surprisingly, eaten with gratitude.
I think the French Paradox will prove that it matters little what
you eat(within reason)-it's how you eat that counts. Eating alone
is to be generally avoided and I find it quite difficult (altho'
not impossible) to enjoy a meal without an accompanying glass of
Music - totally eclectic — situation/mood based entirely-but it
must be played from the heart and capable of transporting mine.
Love being surprised by the newest.
Theatre/Dance - bring it on-just hold the cliches.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order..........
taking the helm of my frail barque and sailing it towards the
horizon -fire gazing - barefoot earth walking - wind talking -
water on my skin - touch and be touched - the frisson generated
between light and dark - birdsong, (especially when they look at
you with their dinosaur eyes) - sharing words wordlessly - finding
meaning in another humans heart.
(my propensity to dismiss arbitrary rules seems hardwired - so not
sure if I could do without it or not)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
thinking ! As in - why am I thinking about 'that' ? Surely I have
something better to think about.
Still, between the gaps I think about what is significant in my
life and what is redundant .
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
