Not that I am a christian however - but I do believe in spiritual progress - and find it a shame that the western yogic tradition is so often overlooked in favour of the eastern. Compassion is at the heart of all traditions. Forced to touch the icy fingers of love devouring entropy I said no !

Am I good at anything ? I have designed and personally built 2 houses - restored and love sailing my 1920's classic yacht - I teach and practice photography - my new gig is a community service organisation that I am building from the ground up and I love it. I am a relentless auto-didact however so I am pre-disposed to self-delusion. But I still get things done. AH! just thought of something ! I am good at having mind challenging conversations with women who may well have a higher IQ than myself without getting defensive. This has come through long practice. And having conversations which are about exploration rather than the 'art of war' .

From 'Houellebecq' to 'Paglia' I am a voracious omnivorous reader. Watch out - I will read the newspaper the fish'n'chips came in !
Movies - hell - I watch any thing that peels back the layers on the human condition — 'Lynch' is a standout — but it goes right back to seeing my very first movie as a child — 'Nosferatu' 1922 Dir. F.W.Murnau. AND I just like to be entertained.
Food - well I like it — cooking it — eating it — reading about it even. I like any cuisine — done surprisingly, eaten with gratitude. I think the French Paradox will prove that it matters little what you eat(within reason)-it's how you eat that counts. Eating alone is to be generally avoided.
Music - totally eclectic — situation/mood based entirely-but it must be an exemplar of its type.
Theatre/Dance - bring it on-just hold the cliches.

wind talking - water on my skin - bone dry earth under Blunnies - light and dark - birdsong when they look at you - sharing words wordlessly.

thinking ! As in - why am I thinking about that ? Surely I have something better to think about. Still, between the gaps I think about concepts like significance and redundancy.

Doing stuff, but wishing I had some-one to share that stuff with.
