My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My friends would tell you I am very outgoing. Unlike everyone else in this town, I'm not always "laid back" or "chill". I can, however, make conversation with just about anybody, and I will. I have a very dry and extremely sarcastic sense of humor, and sometimes I forget that doesn't jive with everyone. I'm not a difficult person to read, the adage "heart on my sleeve" is very applicable in my case. After moving every few years growing up, through out college, and my early 20s, I landed in Austin and it is where I plan to stay. I am in love with this town.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Not trying very hard to get that big red text "Replies VERY Selectively" off the bottom of my profile.

A year and a half ago, I was laid off from the medical non-profit organization I had been at for five years. So I did what any sane person would do. I took my life savings and started a marketing company. To say it was the single most terrifying/best thing that ever happened to me is an understatement. I work harder for myself than I have ever worked for anyone else, and I am pretty fulfilled now. When I'm not focusing on work, I like happy hours, discovering new favorite eats, seeing live music, and, oh, wine. Lots of wine. And everything is better with friends.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Freaking myself out after watching a scary movie. I make a mean pancake. I am highly empathetic, which has it's pros and cons. I'm good at arguing, not that I want to. I should win some kind of award for procrastinating. I will put EVERYTHING off to the last second (which might be the reason I'm attracted to super organized people! I want what I'll never be!)

Blue eyes. Dark hair. Tall girl.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

It's pointless to make lists, that's all information we can trade on a first date.
Trust that I like cool music, I read literature, and strongly prefer to see any movie at Alamo with a beer.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sunscreen- because I accept the fact that I am pale, will always be pale, do not want skin cancer.
Caffeine- because I accept the fact that I am a difficult person to be around without it.
Yoga- hey, if I could make myself WANT to run a marathon, I would, but I'll stick to the non knee-destroying exercise regimens for now.
Affection- it's real important.
Laughing- are there ANY negatives to laughing? Find me one.
My phone- sadly, I admittedly could not do without it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
future scenarios. I play everything out in my mind over and over. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, but I am consumed by thinking about things that will happen in the future, even if the future is only an hour away.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I'm not working, I am out with friends for a drink or a show. I like trying new bars or restaurants, but sometimes a glass of wine and some trashy tv is all I want on a Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I really, really, really, really HATE, DESPISE, and LOATHE birds. Hate. Them. For real.

...and I find online dating overwhelming most of the time.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
***I am working really long hours right now, I won't have much of a life until after SXSW is over. So if you message me and don't hear back, or if I can't meet up right away, don't take it personally.***

-you are new to town. I love showing new friends around this amazing city.
-you can capitalize and punctuate correctly, and you do so often.
-you volunteer, or at least see the value in doing things that benefit others and not yourself.
-you are genuinely interested in getting to know me, as just a friend or as a potential match. Not looking for a hook-up. And when I say that, it's not secret code for "I'm looking to hook up with you." It's really, really not.
-you're genuinely cool with the idea that sometimes guys and girls can go on dates, and even though there's not chemistry, they can totally be friends
