The Best Dressed Engineer in TV!

This is me, in some sense, and for the most part:

Slowly adding more and updating this, in the mean time however, take a look at this.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
In the mist of my now second year of grad school (MFA in Media Arts)
I work as a contract broadcast engineer for several TV stations in the Boston area, mainly bouncing between WCVB and WBZ. I also engineer for a handful of public stations from WGBH and community ones.

As a side hobby/job I am a location recordist for film and TV. This often has me working gigs in NYC on weekends and so far, has been an absolute blast!

I dabble in a bit of teaching and speaking at conventions and such.

Avid attender of AES conventions NAB, and SMPTE.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Soldering, being elusive
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The manner I dress, usually always with a tie on. I tend to be on the quieter side, only for a short time before I am telling a vivid and intense story, thus leaving my hand movements to be noticed.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Well, As much as I hate to say it, my phone is usually glued to me. My bicycle, I have become addicted to using my bicycle to get everywhere, and I would hate to miss out on that. Leatherman, there is one either usually on me, or in my bag. Backpack. I'm just the one to always "be prepared" Music and my good friends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Moving to NYC after I am finished with my masters. I find myself frequently traveling down there for work lately, and I am becoming quite fond and more curious about living there. It is what Boston was for me when I moved in for college. Big, bright lights, a whole thing thing and mess of people to explore. Boston is now small, I can not go a day without running into 5 people I know. I miss being little in a large city.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
