Epiphany
I use to think I was single because I hadn’t found the right woman
Now I understand its because I hadn’t become the right man
When a Father love for his Son
It is never a question
That some rights have to be earned
So now I understand why God was waiting on me
To get up off my knees and stand
Break the pride and ignorance
That shackles my feet and hands
And understand that greatness isn’t attached to man
Simply by how many times he takes off his pants
Rather its his actions after he finish praying
When adversity is on his shoulder does he still choose to stand....
It has taken me thirty-two winter seasons
But now I understand
That God did not take my rib and give it back for playing
He gave it back to cherish and protect
As it makes me a better man
Epiphany
We are so busy searching for what we want
That we over-look what we need
We are so busy trying to confiscate for what our childhood lacked
That we blind our eyes to the obvious that should be seen
So I am now convinced that most of my relationship flaws start with me
That I am the reason why loves dies around me
Because If God's plan is for us to be fruitful and multiply
You have to understand
Only dead fruits come from seeds of lies
Like the lies my ego tell the mirror and I
See I thought I knew what being a man was
Until I found out what a man is suppose to do
That is protect and provide for you
Be a man in the world
And a best friend, a lover at home to you
My epiphany...
Is that God wont give me my forever
Until her forever involves me being the right man too!

I'm willing to fix his wrongs. Committ time meandering every tare.
Every open wound exzuting memories of never again.
Swing.
Punch until it sticks.
I will not move.
I will not waver.
I will not stop.
Until you let me love you.
Be what those before me refused to be....HERE.
Steadfast, resilient,...COMMITTED
Perfect in the most flawed of ways will be Us.
Beauty & The Beast
Tarzan & Jane
Adam & Eve
My sin is loving you too much
You are my apple daily
Stop...
Know that
I'm not asking you to trust me.
Or even to believe one word that I say.
I'm asking to turn the next second into minutes, hours, days, weeks, months...a lifetime.
Truth is...
I am not different.
I am nicked & scratched
An imperfect man who loves hard
That is sometimes wrong
Sometimes stuck in his ways
Sometimes foolish
A Hopeless Dreamer
That believes you create happiness
Fight for forever
Live in the moments that make you smile
And die in those that make cry
Confession...
I believe the strongest part of a man is his woman
She builds him up
Birth his happiness
Pushes his dreams
And cushion his falls
But what about her....YOU
