Things I'm into include sports, academics, being outside, culture, and finding new and interesting things to do. Sort of a weird mix, but that's the best summary I can think of. I currently play hockey, football, and volleyball, but I'm always looking for more things to add to that list. I've played sports my entire life and won't be giving that up any time soon. I have also skied for 21 years, play tennis, and have my heart set on doing a triathlon soon. One thing about Maryland I love is how into fitness people here seem to be. I hope I can find some people to get more involved in that with.
I went to college for Computer Science for 4 years at one of the New York State schools called SUNY Oswego. After that I went to graduate school at the University at Buffalo for Bioinformatics (fancy way of saying statistics). The first of those I loved, and the second was absolutely terrible. Feel free to ask if you want to know any more about either of those!
A big hobby of mine is traveling and seeing as much of the world as I can. I never turn down the chance to visit a new place, no matter what sort of experience it might be. So far my list of places I've been to looks like this (at least internationally): Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Spain, and The Netherlands. I've been to a couple of those more than once and have enjoyed all of them. I speak French well, but I still never have been to France. That is probably one of the next places that I will visit in Europe and I hope I can do that within the next couple of years. Those places are all tame compared to other places in the world, but it's just what has been available to me so far. There is a lot more that I want to see still. As for the U.S., I've been to about 20 of the states, but have no intention of stopping until I've seen them all.
I'm always open to questions or talking, so please ask away about anything else!
