My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like making people laugh and being made to laugh. I'm more than happy to have serious conversations, but can't really be comfortable around someone unless I know how to have a laugh with them.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I moved to Bristol from Exeter 6 years ago, and bought a flat here last year, so here for the long haul now I reckon.

Started working at the Council in 2011 and it's probably the first job that I've genuinely enjoyed. Things are going well there, so that at this rate I'll be a lifer.

I play football a fair bit and have just taken up boxing as well.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making and keeping friends and knowing what the time is without looking at my watch! (sorry to the girl that I stole this from their profile - it was only upon reading that it occurred to me that this is a skill and something that I'm good at)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
On the basis that my godson and his brother and sister, when making a Wii character for me, made sure that I was smiling before they sorted out any other features, I'm going to go for that. And rather than this being an arrogant boast, it's most definitely quantity over quality! As you can see from one of my photos, I've got a bit of a wonky tooth, so hardly a BBC smile...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'd say I have pretty eclectic tastes in all of the above. I'm definitely of the philosophy that your best off sampling the best of everything, rather than sticking to a niche. Not that niches shouldn't be explored, of course.

The US make some good films, but I'm not generally a fan of blockbusters. Give me A Prophet, The Orphanage, Chopper, Hidden or In Bruges anyday. That's not to say that there aren't any good American films, just that The Watershed gets a fair bit more of my custom than Showcase.

Read loads as a kid, then barely at all for ages, and now am dead into it again. For fiction I read Scottish authors with a first name beginning with I and would urge anyone to do the same before you bother reading any other fiction; I also like the odd bit of non-fiction - Jon Ronson for easy reading, or something heavier about what a bunch of dickheads banks, big business and politicians are.

Have been getting into the boxsets over the last year or two: The Wire, Spiral, The Killing and Dexter. Have also just discovered (very belatedly) the genius that is Flight of the Conchords.

I'm quite up for most different types of music, with the exception of heavy metal, country and western and folk. Oh and hymns if they count. I've seldom been to gigs, but have always enjoyed them when I have been, so am thinking this is definitely something to do more of. Babyhead and The Mango Factory are two local bands that I'd definitely be keen to see again. Probably keener on the idea of gigs in smaller venues, rather than stadiums. Although I'm off to see The Stone Roses this summer, so perhaps I'll have to reappraise that...OK they were ace. But I also now love Molotov Jukebox, so perhaps a mix of big and small.

I like any savoury food apart from offal and not that keen on oysters. Japan and France are my favourite countries for food. I'm right picky when it comes to desserts though.
