My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm just a guy. I'm trying to make my way through this world while maximizing both my happiness and the benefit/harm ratio I impart on others.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently in a state of flux - migration if you will. For my entire life thus far, I have primarily been awarded (read: paid) to simply be somewhere. The task I was performing and how well I did it was always much less important than simply showing up and filling the void in the schedule. I want to get paid to actually *do* something instead and I'm working toward making that happen.

I'm a big fan of a good board game or card game and I really enjoy spending time with people that way. Climbing on an indoor wall is my favourite way to stay in shape, but I'm also a fan of pretty much any activity which calls for a swim suit by default.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My biggest strength lies in looking at a problem and gaining an understanding of why it's a problem. If the problem is one that can be solved by a computer, I'm also very good at constructing a program to automate that solution.

Also, dealing with the heat. Seriously, if the temperature never dropped below 25 degrees Celsius that would be just fine by me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I speak very quickly, but (usually) enunciate enough such that the words I'm saying don't get lost in the shuffle.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books:
The Sword of Truth series is by far my favourite read. However, any well told story about a fantasy world involving a consistent system of magic will likely provoke enjoyment from me.

Movies:
The Matrix trilogy (yes, the whole thing) remains my favourite movie experience to this day, though Inception gave it a run for its money and Cabin in the Woods definitely gets an honourable mention. What I like to get from a movie is a fun, enjoyable time for two hours which leaves me with something to think about after I leave it.

Shows:
TV is how I spend my zero-effort-required time. As such, I usually enjoy a lighter, funner experience, but if it makes me think or feel something, that's always nice too. I do tend to enjoy something that has a running plot I can follow and I avoid reality shows (e.g. Survivor) like the plague. I also have to mention Doctor Who here since I marathon watched all seven seasons and never felt a boring moment.

Music:
There's very little music I actively like (notable exception: Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory"), but there's also very little (outside the rap and heavy metal genres) that I dislike. I'll show a preference for something that I can sing along with and that tells a story.

Food:
Picture a vegetarian. Now reverse the eating habits. You're pretty close to my palate right there. One notable exception, however, is that I definitely enjoy a good, cheesy pasta dish.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
There's really only one thing I could never do without: my mind and the way it processes the world around me. Absolutely everything else (outside biological needs, which this question has to ignore in order to be useful) are things that I have previously lived without, do not currently possess or could imagine a situation (no matter how unenjoyable) that I could continue after losing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I'm actually looking for as I move forward. Also realizing that I probably don't know then hoping I'll be able to find it as I continue to live my truth in the present moment.

Why are most of my match questions answered privately? I want to be able to take the time to get to know you in person instead of knowing everything about you before we meet.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dealing at the poker table in the local casino (or perhaps the boss decided to have me on a different table instead, but it's usually poker).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't like wearing clothing - I am always nude unless some external entity (below comfortable temperatures or unreasonably prude society) forces otherwise of me.

You should message me if my profile has made you feel like I might be someone you'd like to meet and get to know.

Also: I always reply to a first message. That unknown limbo between that first message and its reply is never enjoyable.
