I spent a year working in a nursing home, moved over to being a marketing co-ordinator in an office, rounded it off with a month of selling Christmas trees, now concentrating on year three of my degree and possibly working in another kitchen
It's a little different to the regular university experience though, as I am studying with the Open University. Last year I was studying Philosophy and History. I went for Open University because it meant I could do that aforementioned year in an office, whilst simultaneously doing something productive that I found more interesting.
I would like to lecture in Philosophy, but I'm open to other ambitions for now. I guess that as long as I am trying (and succeeding) to better myself, then I am working towards something good
