My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello there, my name is George. I've re-written this section a million times and it always seems to end up a bit shit but I'm going to rewrite it again in the hopes that this time it might fall into the 'satisfactory' category.

Ultimately I'm a big ol' nerd. I spent much of yesterday setting up an Amiga 1200 emulator on my laptop and I'm not even sort of ashamed that the first game I loaded up was Thomas the Tank Engine (is actually not a kids game and is really, really hard, honest!).

I also like to read, fiction and non-fiction, especially if it's related to the second world war or the cold war, as well as going for walks or bike rides.

I tend not to be much of a pub/club goer as they're very expensive and I've never much been a fan of alcohol, but every now and then I can be coaxed into one for a few pints. Ultimately though I feel like there are better things to do outside of the home.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've recently moved out of my parents (wahey, finally!) so I'm just kinda enjoying the freedom and privacy that brings.

I've also been itching to start writing again, something I stopped a couple of years ago after a particularly painful attempt at writing a Warhammer 40k novel. I learned that I don't work well with other peoples intellectual property.

I'm also learning to make video games through the use of a nifty little 30 hour long video tutorial on Steam.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Losing things I had in my hand 30 seconds ago. Remembering all sorts of totally irrelevant factoids about whatever science fiction or fantasy series I'm obsessing about today.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My long hair, the fact I'm quite tall, my doc martens.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

This tends to get out of hand so I decided to just list what I've watched/read/played recently

Books: The Hobbit is what I read last. I'm about to embark on World War Z for the umpteenth time and after than I'll be reading Tuf Voyaging.

Films: I have recently watched The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Antiviral, Another Earth and Elysium. Next on my list is Robot and Frank.

Music: so so much of so so many genres. cream, ccr, the kinks, the clash, the black keys, iron butterfly, simon and garfunkel, neil diamond, scorpions, bon jovi, rage against the machine, Fleetwood mac, queen, motley crue, transvision vamp, jimi hendrix, black sabbath, scorpions, madness, mungo jerry, elvenking, danzig, deep purple

Games: I am currently playing various old school games on emulators. I recently completed Diddy Kong Racing on N64 and am now playing through Resident Evil 1 on PS1.

TV: Game of Thrones. I don't watch much TV unless it's factual (including my near ritualistic watching of channel 4 news) and especially if it's presented by Tony Robinson.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My phone
My laptop
My friends and family!!!!!!!
The news
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to combat the horrific levels of homophobia and misogyny in gaming. And if we can't, do I really want to be a gamer anymore?

Also, Warhammer and Star Wars.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Tucked up in bed watching something or playing a game.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Idk. I'm a pretty open person so just ask me?
