I am a skinny gamer that harbours an uncharacteristic love of activity and sunlight, often venturing outside my apartment in search of adventure. I am a mixed bag of geekery, martial arts, and wilderness explorer recklessly combined into one unstable form.

I study Mandarin Chinese, which is impressive considering I can barely speak English despite it being my native language. The end goal is to become fluent so I can confuse others in two languages instead of one.

When I am not at University, I run the QA lab at an IT company. This means that I break software and yell all day at developers to fix their code.

When not being repeatedly chain-punched by fellow martial artists, I enjoy playing games wherein I can repeatedly punch stuff to vent frustration at my own inability to punch stuff very well. When I've been punched too much, I generally read stories of the Fantasy or Science Fiction variety.

I think of and tell stories every chance I get. I've often thought I would have made a good travelling storyteller in ancient times. In this era I make do with writing long epics and turning them into tabletop RPGs.

I am a damn fine cook. I cook whenever I can and like cooking for people. Spicy food and seafood (usually that I have caught myself) are what I am best at, but I like to think that I can toss pretty much anything together and make it at least somewhat satisfying.

Probably either my crooked nose or my skeletal fingers. Perhaps my eyes? I'm not sure, I've never asked anyone, nor have I been told.

My favourite movie is My Neighbour Totoro, with Ip Man coming up a close second. I'm a fan of martial art movies in general, and am a sucker for a good fight sequence. I like Science Fiction and Fantasy as well, of course. Comedies are alright every once in a while.

I devour any book on UFOs or the paranormal - maximum points if you do, as well. Talk paranormal with me!

My favourite fiction series is currently the Shadows of the Apt. I also like The Kingkiller Chronicles and The Prince of Nothing. China Mieville is wicked, as are Christie Golden and George R. R. Martin. On the semi-nonfiction side of things, I like classical epics such as the Ramayana, the Norse Poetic and Prose Eddas, the Mabinogion, or the Bhagavad Ghita. For nonfiction, I like books on martial arts theory and philospophy such as The Tao of Jit Kune Do and the Wing Chun Compendium.

I don't watch a lot of TV considering I don't have cable, but I like the X-Files, Firefly, Corner Gas, Torchwood, Lucky Star, .hack//, and Invader Zim.

Musically, I like things with lots of energy-- Heavy Metal, hard rock, celtic folk, and punk are my genres of choice. I cannot stand country, and dubstep isn't music, it is the sound of Megatron and Optimus having a love affair.

Kung Fu theory, the inner workings of the universe, and the best way to optimize a Pathfinder character are all standard topics for my brainpan. I think about where my life is going, where socks go when they get lost in the dryer, and what is going through my cat's mind when he stares at the wall for no reason.

Playing games! Usually tabletop RPGs but sometimes boardgames. Videogames if I'm really desperate. I also love concerts, so I'll be at one of those if I can be. Fridays are very up in the air.

I was born with a bi-lateral cleft lip and palate. As such, much of my upper lip and nose are the product of reconstructive surgery. It also causes the roof of my mouth to be squishy, more like the back of a person's throat than a tough palate. Technically, a tortilla chip could kill me. Despite their best efforts, however, I have survived to the present day in a refreshingly un-murdered state.
