My self-summary
I don’t really know where to start. I’m 33 years old, and I live in Hinsdale, the land of married people. Finding someone single around here is quite a challenge. I went through the phase of going to bars every weekend, but I’m over meeting people who are just looking to hook up or flirt. I feel ready for something more serious, so I figured making an online dating profile wouldn’t hurt.

My biggest passion is tennis. I play every day and compete in various leagues.

I work as a freelance graphic designer and photographer. I also help my friend take care of her two kids.

I love to travel. Internationally, I usually go for vacations to places with a lot of history. My top two destinations are Ireland and China. It's a dream of mine to make it to New Zealand (to see the albatross) and the Galapagos Islands one day. Within the US I like going on road trips all over the place. I also attend various pro tennis tournaments (Indian Wells, Cincinnati) annually.

I love going to live shows—including the symphony, opera, and ballet. I also really love punk or rock shows. I really go for anything that I will be able to feel in my chest.

My family is extremely important to me. It’s a little complicated—what family isn’t—but we’re all there for each other whenever we’re needed.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a freelance graphic designer and photographer. I also play tennis 12-20 hours per week and compete on 3 travel teams. Aside from that I spend a lot of time homemaking and helping out family and friends with things like childcare.

The six things I could never do without
In addition to the obvious life essentials (food, water, shelter, etc.), I couldn't do without:
1. Tennis
2. My camera & computer
3. Companionship; friends, family, pets
4. A car
5. A peaceful residence (I live near a forest preserve now, and I love it. I much prefer to hear the sounds of wildlife instead of the sirens and traffic of the city.)
6. Massage
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Tennis, design and photography ideas, my future, cooking, my family & friends, responsibilities, my next camera purchase (can't wait!), the world
On a typical Friday night I am
I usually spend Friday nights in because I have practice early on Saturday mornings. I usually cook something, make banana bread for the weekend, clean, chat with friends, or just curl up and watch a movie. Sometimes I go out to dinner with a friend or two.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm scared of driving on bridges. I do it if I have to, but I don't like it!!

Someone who plays tennis, or can at least have an appreciation for the sport, would be awesome. I suppose there is more to life than tennis, however, so it's not a must. =)
