My Notes edit

My self-summary

I am a nice Irish lad. Well, not completely Irish, but certainly near completely originating in the British Isles or there abouts, strictly heritagically speaking. Tend to think about music and creativity in a mildly obsessive way. Work like a three legged dog to keep myself above the flood level. Every day is like an episode of Gossip Girls, the only difference is the kids I work with are special needs and special educationeers. That is a whole-hearted lie. Been setting my sites on a musical creative space for, ohhh the last 6 years give of take a decade. It will be done, it shall be done, in time or not. On an honest stream, I work in a public high school doing most of the things others don't desire doing and some tasks they do. Learning the braille this year, working with a completely blind student. Fitness reigns supreme in my domain. Many days, many hours pushing steel, turning cranks, and sopping shirts. I believe that I have made a noble charge towards adulthood. Uncertain if the change will take. The result may be a fun-house mirror hall, all illusion. Got a slew of sisters, a step brother, a recently deceased father, and more parents than any single being should. The next spawns have been birthed, two sweet beauty faced nephews, grand, sprite-ly beings they be. There is a wealth of purity left in this aged cocoon. Hope the butter is churned to solid so that it can fly or the duck has seen through its ugliness to what it is at heart. Doubt you could know me well through such a meager dicing of me, if you wish to indulge further I shall oblige.

What I'm doing with my life

Often I ask this question precisely.
My most common answers.
Nothing too profound, but there is some comfort in that.
Discovering more about this self, relating to the youths that fill the streets after the beep of bells.
Exploring music along the borders of self prescribed boundaries.
Looking for a mean rhythm to shake to with another.
Laughing with a grin to calm a buoyant feeling.
The exact opposite of many of my contemporaries.
Trying to get to the library to get a free movie rental or some new free music.
Perusing the paper for live music that excites me.
Digging on a book while staying in a reclined position.
Trying to change my shape to more closely fit my idealism.
This being the abbreviated version of a substantial log.

I'm really good at

Making people comfortable.
Getting along with women above the age of 45. That is who I work with.
Being frugal with groceries.
Making a-pizza pie.
Blaming it on the rain.
Waking up real early and feeling not that ridiculously tired.
Avoiding the bars and other twenty-something's hangouts.
Listening to tales, concerns, and lessons.
Often writing music or explosions of creative birth. Tried the life birth, no luck.
Disciplining myself with fitness regimes.
Being nice to teenage students that steal class work and snap like piranha.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

Ahh, you had to ask? The pictures are there, so you may notice I have no legs. In the pictures. Maybe blue eyes or blonde hair. The thick rugged beard when it is in bloom. Hopefully, my gentle, easy way would be perceivable.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books go like this:
Into the Wild, On the Road, Dharma Bums, Oil!, Some Salinger guy, The Name of The World, Cash By Johnny Cash, Sidhartha, if you want more ask away, but some info must be requested.

Movieage:
Wes Anderson works, High Fidelity is a religious vision, I could probably live with just those few films for a long stint. Have seen and loved many other movies so try me with these an introduction.

Music:
Trying to like the Kings of Leon presently, I think they are taking seed. The back story interests me.
Dr. Dog is still doing fine things after a month plus, Fate kills it.
Want to see the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club again, listen to one or five of their albums every week.
Seen the Sounds several times, once with no more than 20 others, Maja is a rock goddess, inspiring as hell.
The Cardigans make such varied beautiful albums that I can't put away one from three plus years ago.
These notes are sort of less recognized greatness. There are the typical Radiohead and many more.
Before this is concluded, I want to say listen to the Kinks, they are the most significant pop band outside the Beatles. Get any of Village Green, Muswell, Arthur, Powerman, or early rockers and be delighted. Do it.

Food:
Burritos, pizza, organic romaine, chick peas, and some kind of juice are dominant. I got a good interest in all kinds of vegetarian fare.

The six things I could never do without

Music
Family
New Days
Old Times
Water
My Ears

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Too much.

On a typical Friday night I am

Winding down, recording/ writing music, making a vicious meal, shifting from a high school to real life mind set.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

Very little, but in confidence probably too much.

You should message me if

You want more awesome in your life, or want to share your awesome with this dude that wants more of it in his life.
